Egyszerűen teljesen a regény hatása alatt vagyok, nagyon nehéz most szavakat találnom.

Ava az egyik legeslegerősebb és legkitartóbb női karakter akiről valaha olvashattam. Lenyűgöző az, hogy mennyire bátor, nem hagyja, hogy megfélemlítsék, nem hagyja, hogy a mások által kimondott bántó szavak hatással legyenek rá.

Knox pedig... Első látásra egy tipikus népszerű srác, aki nem igazán törődik másokkal és az érzéseikkel, de ahogy egyre jobban megismeri az olvasó, úgy rájön, hogy ez egyáltalán nem így van. A felszín alatt Knox egy rendkívül érzékeny, gondoskodó, szerethető fiú, akit egyszerűen nem lehet nem imádni.

Ilsa Madden-Mills egyszerűen zseniálisan tehetséges nem csak a főszereplők, hanem a mellékszereplők megalkotásában is. Annyi mélység van bennük, hihetetlenül összetett és nagyon jól kidolgozott mindegyikőjük. Mikor már azt hiszi az olvasó, hogy tudja, mi az oka annak, ahogy viselkednek, tudja, hogy mi áll a döntéseik mögött akkor jön egy hatalmas csavar és BUM.

Knox és Ava után egyértelműen Dane a legnagyobb kedvencem már a kezdetek óta. Knox és Dane körül már a könyv legelején nagy volt a rejtély, és én az ilyen karaktereket szeretem a legjobban. A történet során egy picivel jobban megismerhettük Dane-t is, és minden egyes kis információval egyre jobban rám jött a sírás. És amikor Dane mellékszála a tetőpontra jutott... Megállíthatatlanul folytak a könnyek a szememből. Egyszerűen összetörtem. Bár a könyv legeslegvégén kiderült, hogy szerencsére vele is minden rendben, de azért nagyon kíváncsi lennék rá, hogy pontosan hogyan is jutott el addig a pontig, csak szimplán még többet szeretnék olvasni erről a karakterről. ♥

Knox és Dane testvéri kapcsolata... te jó ég, akárhányszor csak egy ilyen jelenetre gondolok könnybe lábad a szemem, annyira szép volt, imádtam minden egyes közös pillanatukat. Annyira különleges. Többet akarok. Sokkal többet. Ezek az ikrek függőséget okoznak.

“Dear Ava, today is the beginning of anything you want,” he says in my ear.
I clutch his shoulders. “You. Always you.”

Mindent figyelembe véve, Ilsa Madden-Mills Dear Ava című alkotása egy rendkívül érzelmes, nehéz témákat feldolgozó, de gyönyörűen megírt regény. Ha egy érzelmekkel teli olvasmányra vágytok, akkor mindenképpen érdemes adnotok egy esélyt ennek a könyvnek, a romantikus, középiskolában játszódó történetek rajongóinak biztosan el fogja nyerni a tetszését.

I have finished reading Dear Ava by Ilsa Madden-Mills only a few hours ago, but I am still totally in this story, I just simply can not stop thinking about it. This was my very first book by this author, and right now I could totally slap myself for not reading her novels earlier. Now, I feel an Ilsa Madden-Mills binge reading is coming.

Dear Ava is a beautifully written, heart wrenching story about two broken souls finding each other. ♥ I have been so super excited for this story since it was announced, and now that I have read it I can totally honestly can say that it was absolutely worth waiting for. ♥

No matter the road you take, it doesn’t matter if it’s beautiful or ugly, hard or smooth, paved or pitted with ruts—it’s your road to take. What matters is how it ends.

The protagonist, as you may know because of the title of the novel, is Ava, an eighteen-years-old high school student, who has been through so many horrible things, but she remained strong. There is only one person in her life who is really important for her, and she does everything she can to provide for him, and to give him the best life possible. Her childhood was not really the happiest ever, she had to realize at a very young age that life is not at all easy, and she had to grow up. Unfortunately, bad things kept happening, and it got worse in high school, something really bad happens and it changes her life forever. The problem is that Ava does not remeber everything, she forgot some key informations, and because of that, she does not get her justice she deserves. However, she does not give up, she wants to show everyone that she is, in fact, strong.

Ten months after that horrible night, Ava is back at Camden Prep, the place she hates wholeheartedly. The other students are not so welcoming, most of the time they bully her and call her names, but these do not intimidate Ava, she has goals and someone to fight for, and she won't let some people who are not important for her at all prevent her from making her dreams come true.

Ava only wants to finish her studies at Camden Prep in peace, and she has big plans for her future, she wants to study at a prestigious university. But that night does not let her go. And if it's not already enough, she finds a letter from a secret admirer in her locker. The big question is: who is secret admirer?

Knox is one of the most popular boys at Camden Prep. He is a really talented athlete, he has a bright future ahead of him, he comes from a wealthy family, every girl wants him and wants to be with him. He has a very wonderful connection with his twin brother, Dane, they can talk about anything and everything, they can trust each other, and they are always there for each other.

But this is just what everyone sees. Knox's life is not at all free from problems, he has his own demons too. His family's life is overshadowed by a tragedy, his brother is in trouble, and everything is more difficult at school too. However, there is a girl who is important for him, but because of various reasons, they can not be together. They say that love always wins, but is it true in this case too? Read Dear Ava by Ilsa Madden-Mills to find out how this story ends. ♥

I am simply still totally under the influence of this novel, it is so hard to find the right words right now.

Ava is one of the strongest and most determined heroines I have ever read about. The fact that she is so brave, she does not let anyone to control her life and decisions, and she does not let the bad words affect her life is so impressive.

And Knox... At first, you may think that he is that typical popular rich guy, who does not care about anyone's feelings, but this is just the surface. As the story progresses, you get to know him better and better, and you find out that he is in fact caring, protective, loveable guy who is not afraid of his own feelings, and you just can not not love him. ♥

It takes a phoenix to rise from the ashes.

Ilsa Madden-Mills is so incredibly talented in not just creating awesome protagonists, but supportive characters too. The depht in them is just... Wow. They are all so complex and very well written and created. When you think you figured out everything, why does he or she act like they way he/she does, why they say those things etc., then comes a huge twist and BAM. This story IS unpredictable.

Besides Knox and Ava, my biggest favourtie supportive character is definitely Dane. Oh Dane, you beautiful, broken boy. ♥ There was a huge mystery around Knox and Dane at the beginning of the story, and if you have read reviews by me before, you know that I am absolutely obsessed with mysterious characters. So yeah, I am in love with Knox and Dane. In Dear Ava, we can get to know Dane a little bit more too, and with every new piece of information, I wanted to cry. And when Dane's story reached its climax... The tears flowed unstoppably from my eyes. I simply broke. I just want to hug him. My heart broke into tiny little pieces. I was happy when I found out at the end of this novel that he got his HEA, but still, I would love to read more about him. ♥

The connection between Knox and Dane... OMG hands down Ilsa, I wanna cry, it was so beautiful, I loved every scene with them together. So special. I want more. A lot more. These twins are addictive.

Taking everything into account, Dear Ava by Ilsa Madden-Mills is an incredibly emotional, beautifully written story that deals with difficult situations we should talk about a lot more. If you want to read a story that is full of different emotions, then it will be perfect for you. I think readers who love high school romance novels will love this book too.

I give this book 4.5 stars.
