Számomra 2018 eddig nagyrészben arról szólt, hogy új írókat ismertem meg. Legnagyobb örömömre rengeteg nagyszerű regényhez és alkotójukhoz volt már eddig is szerencsém, számtalan új kedvencet avathattam. Ma pedig egy könyvértékeléssel egybekötve bemutatom nektek a legújabbat, aki nem más, mint Dee Lagasse. Az írónő teljesen lenyűgözött a Without Warning című regényével. Azonnal elnyerte a tetszésemet a fogalmazásmódja, a karakterei és a történet is. Oh, és akkor még nem is beszéltem a könyv borítójáról. Hát nem aranyos? Szerintem abszolút imádnivaló. És tudjátok mit? A Without Warning az írónő legeslegelső kiadott kötete. Igen, ez így van. Nekem csak ennyi mondanivalóm van ezzel kapcsolatban: Gratulálok! Nagyszerű kezdés. Annyira fenomenális ez a regény. ♥ Már alig várom, hogy még többet és többet és többet olvashassak tőle.

Azok a romantikus regények, amelyek a barátságból-szerelem témáját dolgozzák fel, az egyik legnagyobb kedvenceim. Én őszintén úgy gondolom, hogy ezek a történetek mindig annyira egyediek. Általában, az írók mindig olyan nagyszerűen mutatják be a főszereplők kapcsolatát, és szerintem ez nem éppen lehet egyszerű. Hiszen már, ebben az esetben, a karaktereknek hosszabb közös múltjuk van, és hogyha a barátságukat egy magasabb szintre emelik, és egy párt alkotnak, azzal kockáztathatják a barátságukat is, nem nagyon tudják, hogy mi is lenne a helyes döntés ebben a helyzetben, gyakran bizonytalanok. Ezeknél mindig is szerettem azt, hogy ahogy a történet egyre jobban elkezd kibontakozni, úgy a szereplők is fejlődnek. Dee Lagasse nagyszerű munkát végzett Hollis és Chase történetének megírásával. Szerintem nagyon különleges lett, el sem tudom mondani, hogy valójában mennyire is fantasztikus a Without Warning.

A könyv női főszereplője Hollis Capparelli, aki egyáltalán nem egy tipikus lány. Imádja a zenét, viszont, ami ennél is fontosabb az az, hogy szenvedélye a sport, különöse a foci, amiben kifejezetten tehetséges is. Mindennél jobban imádja a családját és a barátait, amit a könyvet olvasva abszolút meg is lehet érteni. Annyira sok remek emberrel van körülvéve, jó volt látni, hogy ennyire támogatják egymást és azt, hogy ilyen nagy szeretetben élnek. Aztán, egy napon Chase Merrimack is bekerül a képbe, és ettől kezdve mindkettejük élete gyökeresen megváltozik. Chase, csakúgy mint Hollis, imádja a focit, és a legnagyobb álma az, hogy ő is profi játékos legyen. Amikor aztán a kettejük útjai kereszteződnek, akkor kezdődik el igazán a történet...

Az ő kapcsolatuk és történetük elmondhatatlanul különleges. Nagyon tetszett, hogy a könyvben felváltva voltak fejezetek a múltból és a jelenből, és így jobban megtudhattuk, hogyan is ismerkedtek meg és hogy alakult ki kettejük szoros barátsága, és úgy nagyjából minden fontos dolgot megtudhattunk róluk. Lélektársak. Igen, abszolút azok. ♥ Bár ők és mindenki más is tisztában volt azzal a ténnyel, hogy a kapcsolatik igazán egyedi és ritkán adatik meg, Hollis és Chase tagadták az érzéseiket. Mi is fog történni velük? Nem akarom senkinek sem lespoilerezni ezt a csodálatos történetet, olvassátok el Dee Lagasse Without Warning című alkotását, és akkor mindent megtudhattok. Higyjétek el, szeretni fogjátok. Egyszerűen feledhetetlen.

But, I’ve never felt so certain that there would come a day Hollis Capparelli would be mine.

Dee Lagasse karakterei egytől-egyig nagyon szerethetőek. Imádtam, hogy Hollis egy nagyon bátor nő, Chase pedig... Egyszerűen bámulatos. Különösen tetszett, hogy kettejük mellett nagy szerepet kapott a család is, nagyon szeretem, amikor egy könyvben a főszereplők rokonait is megismerhetjük, általában ebből mindig kifejezetten jó szituációk születnek. Ezek a karakterek mindig hozzátesznek a történethez, mindig nagyon hamar meg lehet őket kedvelnik, és azt éreztetik veled, hogy te is közéjük akarsz tartozni és meg akarod őket ismerni.

Mindent figyelembe véve, ha nem tudnám, hogy a Without Warning az írónő debütáló regénye, talán el sem hinném. Elképesztően nagyszerű az egész, és biztos vagyok benne, hogy nagyon sok romantikus regény kedvelő szeretni fogja, és sokak kedvence lesz.

Számomra ez nem is kérdés, ez a könyv öt csillagos kedvenc, ennél kevesebbet nem is érdemel. ♥

For me, 2018 is all about discovering new authors. Fortunately, I got to know so many, and because of that I am so happy, now, I have a lot of new favourite writers. Today, here I am with another one, who is Dee Lagasse. I was totally mesmerized by Without Warning. I instantly loved everything: her writing style, her characters and the story. Oh, and look at that cover. How sweet is it? Completely adorable. And guess what? Without Warning is her debut novel. Yup. I have one thing to say: Congratulations! It was super phenomenal. ♥ I can not wait to read more and more and more by her.

(Best)-friends-to-lovers is one of my biggest favourite types of romance novels. I really do think that these novels are always so unique. Usually, authors describe the main characters' relationship in an amazing way, and I adore it, because it can not be easy. The characters already have a past, and if they become a couple, they risk their friendship, and it can be a struggle for them, they usually uncertain about this at the begining. I always love how the story developes, and with it, the characters too. Dee Lagasse did amazing with Hollis and Chase's story. It was so special, and I can not even tell how fantastic is Without Warning.

The heroine is Hollis Capparelli, and she is not a tipical girl. She loves music, but more importantly, she loves football, and to be honest, she is really talented in this sport. She adores her family and friends more than anything, and I can totally understand that. She is surrounded by so so so many awesome people, it was so good to see that they are very supportive, and a full of love kind of family. Then, Chase stumbles into her life, and that day changes both of them. Chase Merrimack, just as Hollis, loves playing football, his biggest dream is to become a professional player. One day, his and Hollis' path crosses, and that is when the whole story starts...

Their relationship and their story is more than special. I really loved that there was chapters from the past and from the present too, because this way, we can see how they get to know each other and basically, we can get to know everything. Soul mates. Yes, they are truly soul mates. ♥ But it does not matter that they and everybody around them know that, they denied their feeling. What happens with them? I do not want to spoil this story to anyone, because it was so wonderful, read Without Warning by Dee Lagasse. Trust me, you'll love it. It is unforgettable.

All of Dee Lagasse's characters are so loveable. Those are that kind of characters who you fell in love instantly. I really loved that Hollis is such a strong, independent, kind and talented woman, and Chase... He is so so swoon-worthy. A perfect book boyfriend. ♥ I absolutely adored that besides the main characters, we can get to know better their family and friends, it is always so special, they make the books even better, and you feel that you want to be a part of them and you want to meet them.

Taking everything into account, if I haven't already know that Without Warning is Dee Lagasse's debut novel, probably, I wouldn't believe it. It was so amazing, I was totally blown away, and I am pretty sure, that a huge number of romance readers will adore it.

It is not a question for me, this book definitely deserves five stars. ♥
