Ezt nagyon is komolyan gondolom, a Vein of Love szinte az első pár mondatával teljesen megvett magának, és egyszerűen képtelenség volt akár csak egy pici időre is abbahagyni, annyira tudni akartam, hogy mi fog történni a főszereplőkel. Oh, és nem csak velük, az írónő nagyszerűbbnél-nagyszerűbb mellékszereplőket alkotott, akik csak még teljesebbé tették ezt az egész sztorit, imádtam őket is egytől-egyig (Fallen, Illya és Beau ♥♥♥), és mindig alig vártam, hogy újra ők is bekerüljenek a képbe. De róluk majd lentebb még bővebben mesélek, mert van mit. Szóval igen, a karakterek több mint zseniálisak, a világ felépítése elképesztően jó, a történet nagyon olvasmányos, a borító szemet gyönyörködtető. Mi kellhet még?

A kötet egyik főszereplője Molly Darling, aki pont a könyv kezdetén lett tizenkilenc éves. Ennek a napnak gondtalannak és nagyszerűnek kellene lennie, ugye? Boldogan ünnepelhetne a családjával és a barátaival és egyéb hasonló dolgokat csinálhatna. Viszont, Molly számára ez a nap minden, csak nem éppen boldog és felhőtlen. Mármint, úgy egyáltalán nem ezekkel a szavakkal lehet leírni a lány helyzetét.
Három esztendővel ezelőtt Molly ősei egy vérszerződést kötöttek, és nem is akármilyet, ezzel pedig a lány sorsa véglegesen megpecsételődött több száz évvel azelőtt, hogy ő egyáltalán megszületett volna. És ha ez még nem lenne elég, akkor azt még nem is említettem, hogy ő közel sem egy átlagos ember, ő sokkal, de sokkal több ennél. Molly egy démon, méghozzá nem is akármilyen. A szeme kifejezetten különleges, egyedi és nagyon-nagyon ritka, hogy valaki ilyenek birtokában van. Ehhez még jön az, hogy rendkívül erős, ami már számtalan napját meg is keserítette, ugyanis a lány nem képes uralni az erejét, a lehető legrosszabb pillanatokban lesz elképesztően erős, és persze, mikor kellene, akkor egyáltalán nem az. Ebből következően, Molly inkább napszemüveget visel, hogy eltakarja a szemét, és arra a döntésre jut, hogy távol tartja magát az emberektől, és emiatt csak egy igaz és közeli barátja marad, aki nem más, mint September.
Molly-nak már elege van abból, hogy mindig arra kell figyelnie, hogy éppen "mikor jönnek el érte", ezért a rengeteg figyelmeztetés ellenére mégis elmegy egy buliba, ahol nem éppen sül el minden úgy, ahogy azt ő szeretné. Tensley Knight egy démon, akinek jelenleg az a legnagyobb kötelessége, hogy feleségül vegye Molly-t, és így a szerződésnek eleget tegyenek. Ők valójában akarják ezt? Hát nem. Huh. Az már biztos, hogy nem sok ehhez fogható könyv van, legalábbis én nem találkoztam még ilyennel. Maga a cselekmény nagyon mozgalmas, intenzív, mindig történik valami, ami miatt lehet izgulni. Az egész démon világ kifejezetten jól lett megírva, kidolgozott, de mégis rejtélyes, nem tudunk meg mindent egyszerre, az írónő szépen lassan adagolja a fontosabbnál fontosabb információkat, és így összeáll a kép.
A szereplők a könyv fénypontjai. Bőven vannak itt is olyanok, akiket egyből imádni fogtok, akiknek a megkedveléséhez kell egy kis idő, és akiket instant utálni fog mindenki, de ez így is van jól, mindenféléből vannak, így csak még jobb az egész.
Molly szerintem egy nagyon jó karakter, az egyik kedvenc női könyves szereplőm lett. Eleinte még egy kicsit bizonytalan, de ki ne lenne az egy ilyen helyzetben? Ettől nekem csak egy picit még valóságosabbnak tűnt. Később, mikor már kezd rájönni dolgokra, akkor magabiztosabb és még bátrabb lesz, nagy karakterfejlődésen megy keresztül.
Tensley... Tensley először eléggé önfejű, néha már egy kicsit bunkó is, vannak rossz pillanatai, ezt el kell ismerni, de az ő szemszögéből nézve van, amit meg lehet érteni. Az ő élete is ugyanúgy egy hatalmas változáson megy keresztül, így teljesen érthető, hogy nem éppen boldog. De amikor végre elkezdenek egy kicsit egymásra hangolódni... Oh, Tensley! ♥ Imádom, egyszerűen imádom.
Molly legjobb barátnője, September, egy igazi energiabomba, ami a szíven, az a száján, ő biztos, hogy nem hagyja magát. Hatalmas kedvencem lett, bízom benne, hogy egyszer az ő történetét is elolvashatjuk. Rajta kívül még egy női karakter lett számomra nagyon szimpatikus, ő pedig Lex. Őt September-hez tudnám hasonlítani, viszont benne van egy kicsivel több plusz. Szerintem ő egy picivel még vadabb és magabiztosabb, de ugyanakkor nagyon segítőkész és egy igazán jó barát.
Illya... Oh, Illya, Illya, Illya. Hogy ezt a karaktert mennyire lehet szeretni, azt el sem tudom szavakkal mondani, egyszerűen kifejezhetetlen. ♥ Ahogy már fentebb is említettem, rengeteg kiváló és nagyon szimpatikus szereplő van ebben a könyvben, nehéz csak egy kedvencet választani.
Beau pedig... Neki ebben a könyvben még nincs túl sok szerepe, viszont néhány jelenet erejéig ő is jelen van. Az ő helyzete talán még érdekesebb, mint bárkié, ha elolvassátok ezt a könyvet, akkor hamar rá fogtok jönni, hogy itt miről is beszélek, nem akarok senkinek sem semmit lespoilerezni. Mellesleg, az ő története már megjelent When Sinners Kneel címmel a Blackest Gold World sorozat részeként. Javaslom, hogy először a Blackest Gold-dal kezdjetek, és utána térjetek át Beau történetére.
Fallen maga a nagy betűs rejtély. És engem pont eztért is érdekel annyira. Ha már olvastatok tőlem értékeléseket, akkor tudhatjátok, hogy általában nekem mindig a legtitokzatosabbak a legjobbak. Ő is kapni fog egy saját könyvet (igeeeen!!!), a címe Reign of the Cruel lesz, és a High Court sorozat első kötete lesz. Izgatottság a tetőfokon! ;) ♥
Nekem ők lettek a legeslegkedvencebb karaktereim a könyvől, rajtuk kívül még vannak jópáran, viszont, hogy ki a "jó" és ki a "rossz", azt nem árulom el. ;)

Mindent figyelembe véve, R. Scarlett Vein of Love című alkotása magasan az egyik legjobb regény, amit eddig a 2018-as év során olvashattam. Annyira örülök, hogy rátaláltam erre a könyvsorozatra és hogy el is olvastam, nagyon hamar és nagyon könnyen a legkedvencebbeim közé került. Hat csillaggal. Hat hatalmas csillaggal.

R. SCARLETT IS THE QUEEN OF PARANORMAL ROMANCE NOVELS. I am not kidding, this book pulled me in with the very first few lines, and did not let me go until I have finished it. And after that, I instantly wanted to continue Tensley and Molly's story, I wanted to know what happens with them. Oh, and not just with them, I wanted to find out what happens with the other characters too, the author created so-so many amazing characters besides them, they absolutely made the story whole and more interesting, I loved almost all of them (Fallen, Illya and Beau ♥♥♥), and I always couldn't wait for them to show up again and again. But that is enough for now, I'll write more about them later. Vein of Love is totally captivating. So yes, the characters are absolutely awesome, the world is well built, the story is very well written, I love Rebecca's style, the cover is totally eye-catching... Everything is just simply genious. Do we really need anything else?

One of the protagonists is Molly Darling, who is just turned nineteen years old. It should be a happy and an amazing day for her, right? She could celebrate it with her family and friends and things like that. Well, it is not the case. Like, at all. There are some problems, and we can not say that this day is joyful for her.
Three centuries ago, Molly's ancestors signed a contract, and it was not an usual one. They signed it in blood - daemon blood, and because of that, Molly's future was not in her hands before she was even born. And if is not already enough, I did not even mention one major thing: she is not a normal human. She is a daemon, who has unique eyes and she also so strong, but unfortunately, now, she can not control her strenght. She becomes so strong when she does not want to use her power, but when she wants to do so and actually need to use it, well, there is nothing. As a result, she decides to wear sunglassses to cover her eyes, and she keeps distance from most of the people, and because of that she has only one really close friend, who is September.
Molly is fed up with all of these things, she does not want to live in fear, to wait for "someone to come for her", so she decides that on her birthday, she goes to a party. She is sick of all these warning, and she wants to forget these. Nevertheless, something bad happens, . And that is when she firstly meets face to face with Tensley Knight... (sighsighsigh)

Tensley Knight is a demon, and right now, his biggest duty is to marry Molly and to comply with the contract. Do they want to do this? Well, no. Both of them have their own lives and does not want to marry each other. Do their opinion count? Not at all. That is their duty, there is no question, they have to do it, period.
For demons, it is not possible to feel any emotions, especially love. It is forbidden. Because if it happens, they will have a full heart, and it is absolutely unacceptable in their world. What happens if a demon fall in love? If their leader, Fallen, finds it out, he will literally rip his or her heart out. Have this ever happened? Yes, and there was an example for that in Tensley's family, too.
With Molly's nineteenth birthday, both of their lives changed forever, they spend some more time together, get to know a little bit more about each other. However, their life is not peaceful, more exactly, it is the complete opposite of calm. There are lots of danger that threaten them. Will they be able to cope with everything? You can find out if you read Vein of Love, the first book in R. Scarlett's outstandingly good series.

Wow. This book is so unique, I think I have never read something like that. The story itself is very intense, something always happens, so we can be excited and the author keeps us interested for the whole story. The demon world is very complex, it is very well written, we can get to know a lot of things about it, but at the same time, not everything. In that way, it also stays a little bit mysterious.
The protagonists of Vein of Love are the greatests. There are some you'll instantly love, some you'll absolutely hate, and some you can not figure out. There are lots of characters in this novel, and it is so good in that way. I did not have a feeling that it was too much. It was perfect in that way, they were all needed.
I really do think that Molly is an excellent heroine, she is one of my favourites. At the begining, she is a little bit uncertain, but I can totally understand that, because who wouldn't be uncertain in that situation? Because of that, she was more real for me. Later, when she learns some more about this world, she becomes more confident and brave, her character developes a lot.
Tensley... At first, Tensley is an arrogant, a bastard, he has some bad moments, but personally I think that it is also completely understandable. His life is about to change, of course he is not that happy. On the other hand, when they actually spend some time together and get to know each other... Oh Tensley! ♥ I adore him, I adore him so much.
Molly's best friend, September, is a huge energy bomb, she does not afraid to say out loud what she thinks, she is a really badass character. She is also one of my biggest favourties, I hope that one day we can read about her a little bit more. Besides her, there is another girl, who easily became my favourtie one, and she is Lex. I think she is like September, but a little bit more energetic. She is wilder and more confident, but at the same time, she is very helpful and a really good friend.
Illya... Oh, Illya, Illya, Illya. This character is simply and easily adorable. I can not even tell how much I love him. As I have already mentioned, there are so many likeable ones, it is hard to even choose one out of them.
Beau... He does not have a big role in that book, but we can see him in some scenes and he is also mentioned. Probably, his situation is more interesting than anybody else's, but you'll understand what I am talking about if you give a chance to this series. By the way, his story is already published, it is When Sinners Kneel, and it is the first book in Blackest Gold World series. I recommend that you start with Blackest Gold, and then you continue with Beau's story.
Fallen is a mystery with big letters. And probably that is why I am so interested in him. If you already have read a review written by me, you may know that for me, always the mysterious ones are the bests. He will also have his story (yeeeesss!!!), the title is Reign of the Cruel, and it will be the first book in High Court series. I'm super excited! ;) ♥
For me, they are the my favourites from Vein of Love, besides them, there are so many more characters, but I won't tell who are the "good ones" and who are the "bad ones". ;)

Taking everything into account, Vein of Love by R. Scarlett is one of the greatest novels I have read so far in 2018. I am so happy that I found it and started reading it, it easily became one of my biggest favourites. With six stars. With six huge stars.
