Ha már esetleg régebb óta követtek engem bármelyik közösségi oldalon és/vagy olvassátok az értékeléseimet, akkor már tudhatjátok, hogy imádom az olyan regényeket, amelynek az egyik vagy esetleg mindkét főszereplője sportoló, de legfőképpen a hokis történetek a kedvenceim. ~~Nem is értem, hogy hogy imádhatom ennyire ezeket, mikor én abszolút nem vagyok az a nagyon sportolós fajta. :D~~ És most lett egy újabb ilyen kedvencem, amiben nem csupán a jégkorongos vonal, de több további kedvenc kategóriám is megtalálható benne: romantikus-humoros és második esély. Pippa Grant legújabb regénye, a Charming as Puck, mindezeket tökéletesen ötvözi, hihetetlenül humoros és romantikus is volt egyben, ittam minden egyes szavát.

Oh, és majdnem megfeledkeztem a kisállatokról. Annyira nagyon imádom, ha ők is szerepet kapnak egy történetben, ebben pedig bőven voltak kiskedvencet, és több olyan is volt, amiről még egészen idáig nem is olvastam.

A könyv főhősnője Kami Oakley, aki állatorvosként dolgozik. Imádja az állatokat, így mindig is nagy álma volt ez a szakma, amiben jelenleg igazán kiemelkedően jó is, nagyon szeret nekik segíteni. Az édesanyjával együtt dolgozik, a többi családtagjai is igen sikeresek a szakmáikban, sőt, több mint sikeresek, és emiatt Kami mindig is úgy gondolta, hogy ő nem elég jó.

A munkahelyén kívül is vannak kiskedvencek az életében, nem is egy, hanem egyből három, három kutya, akiket mindennél jobban szeret.

Kami mióta csak az eszét tudja több mint barátjaként tekint Nick Murphy-re. Már kiskorú óta ismerik egymást, és míg Nick csak egy nagyon jó barátot lát a lányban, addig Kami már többet szeretne tőle. Igazán jól kijönnek egymással, azonban egy nap minden megváltozik, és ettől kezdve egészen több van köztük, mint barátság. Megegyeztek, hogy a kapcsolatuk mostmár inkább barátság extrákkal, azonban Kami még mindig reménykedik abban, hogy ebből több is lehet, viszont Nick nem az a típus, aki megállapodik egy lány mellett, sőt, nem is látja azt, ami mindenki másnak nyilvánvaló.

Nick Murphy egy igen sikeres jégkorong csapat kapusa, a Thrusters-é. Mindig is az volt az álma, hogy profi játékos legyen, és ezt valóra is váltotta. Csapattársaival remekül kijön, nagyszerű barátai vannak, akikkel előszeretettel tréfálják meg egymást, és ezeknek mostanában bizony nagy szereplői lettek az állatok is, Kami legnagyobb balszerencséjére, hiszen mindig őt hívják, hogy segítsen nekik.

A történet is egy ilyen jelenettel kezdődik, azonban most Nick lett csapattársai egyikének az áldozata, és egy kis tehénnel a hotelszobájában ébred fel. Az első gondolata rögtön az, hogy felhívja Kami-t hogy segítsen neki, hiszen ő, mivel állatorvos és imádja is az állatokat, biztosan tud valami jó megoldást a problémájára. Azonban ez a telefonhívás nem éppen úgy sül el, ahogyan ő tervezte, sőt, egy bizonyos ok miatt Kami szinte kizárja az életéből, és nem hajlandó beszélni vele.

Ez teljesen lesújtja Nick-et, habár ő ezt nem akarja beismerni. Nem érti, hogy mit tett, ami ennyire felzaklatta a lányt, hiszen eddig, és a nyolc hónapos barátság-extrákkal kapcsolatuk alatt is minden rendben volt.

Ha még ez nem lenne elég, akkor még jön az is, hogy a karrierje zuhanásba kezdett, hiszen sorra csak vereséget szenvednek. Vajon mi lesz kettejük sorsa? Megtudhatjátok, ha elolvassátok Pippa Grant Charming as Puck című regényét.

Viszonylag ritkán sikerül olyan könyveket olvasnom, amelyek során annyira nevetek, hogy szinte már könnyezik a szemem és már fáj a hasam a sok nevetéstől. Viszont ez a könyv pontosan olyan volt, már a legeslegelső jelenettől kezdve. Az biztos, hogy egészen egyedi módon nyitja meg az írónő az egész történetet. :D Gyakran szoktam olvasni olyan regényeket, amelyek bizony nagyon meghatóak és ilyenkor inkább emiatt keletkeznek könnyek az olvasók szemében, viszont itt egészen más a helyzet, itt azért van szüksége mindenkinek a papírzsebkendőkre, mert már annyira sírtok a nevetéstől, hogy szükségetek lesz néhányra.

Az írónő szinte minden helyzetbe képes volt valamilyen viccesebb szituációt belecsempészni, és ez sikerült is neki. Nem volt olyan érzésem, hogy esetleg már nagyon erőltetett lett volna a dolog, sőt, inkább olyan természetes volt. A szereplői nagyon valóságszerűek voltak nagyon is valóságos problémákkal és néha egyedi helyzetekkel.

Kami egy nagyszerű könyves főhősnő, kedves, segítőkész, nagyszerű barát, nálam külön plusz pont volt, hogy nagy állatrajongó volt, hiszen nekünk is számos kiskedvencünk volt, szóval ebben az imádatban tudtam osztozni vele.

Nick egyszerűen zseniális. Az elején azt hihetnénk, hogy ő az a nagy nőfaló, de még talán ő sem tudja, hogy már rég nem az. Annyira odaadó volt, tetszett, hogy így védelmezte a kishúgát, a kettejük kapcsolata pedig kifejezetten szórakoztató volt.

Pippa Grant a főszereplői mellett nagyszerű mellékszereplőkkel töltötte meg a regényt. És egy kis kutatgatás után arra is rájöttem, hogy a legnagyobb kedvenceimnek a könyve már meg is jelent. ♥ Nick és Kami mellett leginkább Ares és Felicity voltak. Felicity Nick húga és egyben Kami legjobb barátnője, Ares pedig Felicity párja és ugyanakkor Nick csapattársa. Imádtam őket, főleg Felicityt, egyszerűen hihetetlen ez a nő. :D Szerintem nagyon hamar az ő történetüket is el fogom olvasni, csakúgy mint az írónő összes eddig megjelent alkotását. Ez volt a legeslegelső Pippa Grant regényem, de biztosan nem az utolsó, ettől kezdve nincs megállás.

Mindent figyelembe véve, Pippa Grant Charming as Puck című alkotása egy nagyszerű kikapcsolódást nyújtó regény. Tipikusan az, amitől mindenről megfeledkezel olvasás közben, és szinte már néhány óra leforgása alatt a végére érsz. Humoros-romantikus könyvek rajongói új kedvencre lelhetnek Kami és Nick történetében.

Tőlem mindenféle kérdés nélkül öt csillagot kap. ♥

If you follow me on any social media site or you have read reviews by me, now you know that I really-really love sport romance novels, but especially hockey romances. It is kinda interesting, because I am not that sporty type, so I don't know why I love them so much. :D And now, I have a new favourite, and it it Charming as Puck by Pippa Grant. It is not only a hockey romance novel, but it has a romcom and a second chance line in it. The author mix these things perfectly, it is so funny and romantic, I loved it from the very first scene to the very last one.

Oh, I almost forgot about pets. I love when little animals get some role in books, and in it, there were so many pets, and there were some I have not read about yet.

I feel like I’ve finally found her. And now I’m going to do my best to keep her. No matter what it takes.

The heroine of the story is Kami Oakley, who works as a vet. She adores animals, she always wanted to be a vet, and now she is really good in it, and she loves helping them. She works with her mom, and all of her other family members are very successful, more than successful, and because of that, Kami often feels that she is not enough.

Besides her job, she always has animals around her, because she has three adorable dogs, and she loves them to pieces.

Kami knows Nick Murphy since they were very little, and she has been in love with him for so long. She wants more, but Nick is not that type who wants a relationship and things like that, he only sees a very good friend in Kami. However, one day everything changes, and after that they are more than friends, they are friends with benefits. Kami still hopes that one day, that can be more, but Nick does not see what is in front of him, and it is pretty obvious for everyone that Kami feels more, but it is not for Nick.

Nick Murphy is a goalie for a pro hockey team, the Thrusters. He always wanted to be a hockey player, and he managed to make that dream of his came true. He and his teammates are really good together, they are an amazing team, they are more than just teammates, they are friends. There is a pranking game going on between them, and different kind of animals are always play a huge role in those pranks, unfortuantely for Kami, they always call her to help them to solve their problems, because they think that the vet and animal lover Kami will always have an amazing solution for them.

At the beginning of the story, we can read about one of their pranks, and now, their "victim" is Nick, who wakes up with a little cow in his room. His first thought is that he will call Kami, but this call turns out to be very different than he expects to be, and after that she is not willing to talk to him at all.

Nick does not understand what happened. He does not not what did he do that Kami did not like, because their eight months relationship and their relationship before that was very fine.

If that is not enough, there are some problems on the ice too. Their team does not win, they lose a lot of matches. What will happen with them? You can find out if you read Charming as Puck by Pippa Grant.

I rarely find and read books that made me laugh that much that my stomach hurts and I basically cry because of laughing. But this book was definitely that type of books, from the very beginning. The whole story starts with a very-very unique scene. :D I often read books that are really touching and make me cry and I need a lot of tissue paper to even see and continue reading, but in the case of Charming as Puck, that is very different, I needed some tissue paper because I was crying because of laughing.

There were always some kind of funny moments in almost every situation. I did not feel that these were too much at all, for me, these were so natural. Her characters are so wonderful and so real with real problems and sometimes unique situations.

Kami is an absolutely amazing bookish heroine, she is kind, helpful, funny, hard-working, an awesome friend, and for me it was a plus point that she loved animals, I love them too, so I could really understand her.

Nick is simply genious. At the beginning, you may think that he is a manwhore, but he is not, and he does not even know it. He is so fantastic, I loved how he wanted to protect his sister from everything, they are so good and entertaining together.

Besides her main characters, Pippa Grant created amazing other characters too, and this book is filled with them. And after a little research, I found out that their book is already released. ♥ Besides Nick and Kami, my biggest favourites were Ares and Felicity. Felicity is Nick's sister and at the same time, she is Kami's best friend, and Ares is Felicity's husband and Nick's teammate. I loved them so much, especially Felicty, OMG, that girl is incredible. :D I think I will read their story really soon too, just as all of Pippa Grant's novel. Charming as Puck was the very first I have ever read by her, but I am pretty sure that it is not the last one, I wanna start binge reading her books.

You’re much better man than the world will ever know, Nick Murphy.

Taking everything into account, Charming as Puck by Pippa Grant is perfect for relaxing after a tiring day. It is typically that kind of books while you read it, you can forget about everything, and you can finish it in a few hours. If you love romantic comedies, Kami and Nick's story will be your next biggest favourite.

From me, this book gets five stars. ♥
