Sose ítélj meg egy könyvet a borítója alapján.

Én ezzel teljes mértékben egyetértek, hiszen a könyv külseje nincs hatással a tartalmára. Viszont nézzünk szembe a ténnyel: mindannyira szeretjük a szépséges borítókat. Elég régen volt már borítóháborús bejegyzés, és még két fordulónak az eredményét meg sem osztottam veletek, szóval arra gondoltam, hogy ennek most pont itt van az ideje. Ebbe a borítóháborúba olyan regények kerültek be, amelyeknek a borítója gyökeresen megváltozott a megjelenésük előtt vagy éppen után.

Amo Jones: Malum - Part One

Amo Jones Malum című regényének első és második része számomra mindenféle kérdés nélkül a 2019-es év legeslegjobb könyvei közé tartoznak, és már tűkön ülve várom a folytatást. Az első rész kapott egy borítót, ami, őszintén megmondva, nekem nagyon is tetszett, szóval egy kicsit sajnáltam is, hogy újat fog kapni ez a kötet, mert szerintem igazán szép lett. De aztán megláttam a második verziót... Te. Jó. Ég. Lélegzetelállítóan gyönyörűséges lett, és bár nekem az első is nagyon tetszik, de azt el kell ismernem, hogy ez sokkal, de sokkal jobban illik az előző könyvekhez is. Elmondhatatlanul szépséges lett. ♥ A döntés számomra igazán nehéz volt, hiszen mindkettő nagyon elnyerte a tetszésemet, de most mégis a másodikra szavazok.

Kim Karr: No Pants Required

Kim Karr írónőtől már volt szerencsém olvasni, viszont sajnos még a No Pants Required-re nem került eddig sor, pedig már régóta az olvasómon várakozik, kifejezetten jó kis olvasmánynak ígérkezik a fülszövege alapján. És hát, valljuk be, mind a két borítója is egészen figyelemfelkeltő lett. Nekem ennél a könyvnél nagyon nehéz volt a döntés, hiszen mindkettő nagyon tetszik nekem, viszont úgy gondolom, hogy az első egy picivel azért kreatívabb lett, és ezért az én szavazatomat most ez a borító kapja meg.

Kennedy Fox: Falling for the Bad Boy

Kennedy Fox könyveit egyenesen imádom, és a Bedtime Reads sorozatuk is magasan az egyik legnagyobb kedvencem. A Falling for the Bad Boy még a kezdetekben nemcsak teljesen más borítóval, de teljesen más címmel volt megvásárolható, azonban mára már mindkettő megváltozott. A My Week with the Bad Boy címet a Falling for the Bad Boy cím váltotta fel, és a borító is jóval világosabb lett. Szerintem ez a változás abszolút pozitív lett, hiszen, ahogy majd lentebb is láthatjátok, a szavazók többségének elnyerte a tetszését a második verzió, engem is beleértve. ♥

Jessica Hawkins: Right Where I Want You

Jessica Hawkins írónőtől sajnos még nem volt alkalmam olvasni, viszont a Right Where I Want You című kötete nagyon is felkeltette az érdeklődésemet. Viszont csakúgy mint az előző regény, ez sem így nézett ki először, és a címe is teljesen eltérő volt. A The Bad Boy Issue cím a Right Where I Want You-ra változott, és a kötet teljesen új kinézetet is kapott. Nekem sokkal, de sokkal jobban tetszik az új külső és az új cím is, szóval az én szavazatomat a második verzió kapja.

Elle Kennedy: Off-Campus sorozat

Elle Kennedy Off-Campus sorozata még mindig magasan az egyik legnagyobb kedvencem, még mindig nagyon szívesen újraolvasom, ha van rá időm. Nekem személy szerint a borítók első verziói az igaziak, nekem ezekkel van meg az egész sorozat, valahogy ezek mindig is jobban is tetszettek. A második verziók sem rosszak, nekem azok közül legjobban a The Mistake borítója tetszik.
Szóval mindent figyelembe véve, nekem az eredeti borítók tetszenek a legjobban, szóval így minden regénynél ezek fogják megkapni a szavazatomat. ♥

Never judge a book by its cover.

I really do agree with that statement, because the cover does not have an effect on what is in the novel. But let’s face it: we all love beautiful covers. I missed doing these Battle of the Covers post, and it was months ago that I have uploaded a post like that, you liked these, so now I'm bringing back these. ♥ And, shame on me, I haven't even shared the results of two rounds with you, so firstly, I'm gonna do these. So in this Battle of the Covers, I showed you some book covers that were changed before the book was even released or even it happened after.

Now, let's start! ♥

Malum - Part One by Amo Jones

I can not even tell you how much I loved Malum - Part One and Malum - Part Two by Amo Jones, these are definitely my biggest favourite novels of 2019, and I am impatiently waiting for the next ones in this series. Before it was even released, Malum - Part One got a cover, and to be honest, I really loved it and I was kinda said that it would be changed, because I really do think that it is a beautiful cover. But then... Then I saw the changed one. Oh. My. God. It is breathtakingly gorgeous. And yes, I do love the first one, but I have to admit that the second perfectly matches the previous books in this series with those darker colours. Words can not express how beautiful is this cover. ♥ That decision was super hard for me, because as I have already mentioned before I do love both, but I love the second version a little better. So, I vote for this cover.

No Pants Required by Kim Karr

I have already read some books by Kim Karr, but unfortunately I have not read No Pants Required by her yet, however I do have it on my Kindle, and just by reading the blurb, I think it will be an awesome story. And well, let's just admit it, both cover are pretty eye-catching. For me, it was a little bit hard to decide which cover is the more beautiful one, because I do like both, but I think the first version is a little bit more creative, so I vote for that cover.

Falling for the Bad Boy by Kennedy Fox

I really adore the Kennedy Fox books, their Bedtime Reads series is one of my biggest favourites. At the beginning, Falling for the Bad Boy not only had a different cover, but a different title too. The title of this novel was My Week with the Bad Boy, but it was changed to Falling for the Bad Boy, and the cover became a lot lighter too. I really do think that this change is very positive, because as you can see, the second version got a lot more votes from you. And yes, I like the second cover better too, so I vote for that one too.

PS.: If you haven't read this series yet, but you really want to start it, now it is the perfect time, because Falling for the Bad Boy is currently free.

Right Where I Want You by Jessica Hawkins

Unfortunately, I have not read Jessica Hawkins' novels yet, but one of her books, more exactly Right Where I Want You, really caught my attention. But just as the novel I was writing before, it had a totally different cover and title before it was even published. At first, this book was The Bad Boy Issue, but it changed to Right Where I Want You and also, it got a completely different look. I love the new cover and title a lot better, so I vote for the second version.

All in all, with my vote the second version has 121 votes, and the first one has 15. So, the winner of the battle is the second cover.

 

Off-Campus series by Elle Kennedy

The whole Off-Campus series by Elle Kennedy is still one of my biggest favourite book series ever, I love rereading these novels whenever I have some time to do so. Personally, I love the original covers better, for me, these are the most perfect for these stories, I always liked them better. I am not saying that the second versions are bad, they are indeed beautiful, and I really do love the second version of The Mistake's cover.
So, taking everything into account, I prefer the first versions, so I vote for these covers. ♥
