Amikor először fejeztem be a Bishop Brothers sorozat olvasását, már akkor azt éreztem, hogy én még nagyon szívesen olvasnék ezekről a karakterekről, és ezzel nem voltam egyedül, két nagyon jó barátom és még nagyon sok más olvasó is hasonlóképpen érzett, és idén júliusban Lyra és Brooke bejelentették, hogy megírják a Bishopok második generációjának a történeteit. El tudjátok képzelni, hogy mennyire boldog voltam? El sem tudtam hinni, hogy ez most tényleg megtörténik. És ez még nem volt minden. Ekkor azt is bejelentették, hogy az első kötet várhatóan novemberben fog megjelenni. IDÉN novemberben. Majdnem hihetetlen. És most pedig itt vagyunk, néhány órával ezelőtt hivatalosan is megjelent a Hitching the Cowboy. ♥ Ez talán még jobban hihetetlen.
Azt hittem, hogy ezt a Bishop Brothers függőségemet már nem lehet fokozni. Nagyon. Tévedtem. A Hitching the Cowboy ezt a függőséget egy teljesen új szintre emelte. Miért is? Lássuk csak...

Riley,” Diesel goads, stuffing his hands in his front pockets and leaning back
on his heels.
“I
was mostly referring to you,” Ma says pointedly.

an angel,” he protests.
My mother snorts. “Please. I married a cowboy. I know all about you… angels.”
“I’m
sure Dad was a complete Southern gentleman when you first met in Florida.” I
waggle my brows at her, knowing that’ll make her blush and hopefully get us off
the hook from hearing her “behavior”
speech.
“Who
was a Southern gentleman?” Grandma Bishop walks in, immediately pulling me in
for a hug.
“Dad
was when he first met Ma,” I respond. “She’s
worried about us going to Vegas,” I explain.
“I
raised all my boys to be gentlemen, so he better have been!” she responds, then
leans in and lowers her voice. “Though
your mother showed up a few months later to announce she was expecting you, so
perhaps he was too much of a gentleman if you get my drift…”
A történet egyik főszereplője nem más, mint Riley Bishop (sóóóóóóóóóhaj, úristen ez még csak az értékelésem nagyon eleje, és már most kezdem az olvadozás, őszintén sajnálom, de nem tudok mit tenni ellene), aki a legidősebb Bishop unoka, jelenleg huszonkét éves (de már nemsokára huszonhárom), és neki a lehető legjobb élete van. A családja birtokán dolgozik, imádja ezt az egész cowboy életet, rendkívül szorgalmas és mindig keményen dolgozik, van egy szerető családja és számos barátja, szóval mondhatjuk, hogy jelenleg igenis elégedett az életével. A legjobb barátja, Diesel (ez a beceneve), a "szülinapos fiú", a szülinapja rohamosan közeledik, és Riley egy igazán nagyszerű ajándékkal készült erre a napra, név szerint, elviszi legjobb barátját egy hétvégére Las Vegasba.
Miután odaérnek, szinte rögtön bele is csapnak az ünneplésbe. De most komolyan, már eddig is elképesztően sokat nevettem, de azok a jelentek, amik Vegasban játszódnak... Te jó ég... Ez a két srác együtt... Egyszerűen hihetetlen. Diesel... Szóhoz sem jutok. Oké, inkább nem is mondok semmi többet, ezt nektek magatoknak kell elolvasnotok, nem szeretnék spoilerezni, ez túl jó ahhoz, hogy spoilerekkel elrontsam az élményt. Azt viszont engedjétek meg nekem, hogy egy kis tanáccsal ellássalak benneteket: ne olvassátok nyilvános helyen, mert rengeteg a humorosabbnál humorosabb jelenet ebben a könyvben. Én szóltam.
A nagy ünneplések közepette történik valami, ami az egész kis utazásukat még izgalmasabbá és viccesebbé teszi. Emiatt egy olyan helyre tévednek be, ahol Riley figyelmét egy gyönyörűséges szőke hajú lány azonnal felkelti. Szerencsére nem csak itt találkoznak, később útjaik ismét keresztezik egymást, és te szentséges ég az a kémia ami kettejük van, az szinte felperzseli a lapokat.
Viszont másnap reggel minden megváltozik, amikor Riley ébredés után nem egyedül találja magát abban a szobában, amit magának és Diesel-nek bérelt a hétvégére. Éppen ellenkezőleg, azt a szőke hajú lányt találja maga mellett az ágyban, akiről az előző este szinte a szemét sem tudta levenni. Talán most mondhatnánk azt, hogy ebben semmi meglepő nincs. Igenám, de mi van akkor, ha egy kis tárgy, ami nem más, mint egy gyűrű, is bejön a képbe. És innestől kezdve az a lány már nem csak egy lány, hanem Riley felesége. Mindkettejük élete gyökeres változáson esik keresztül. De ami Vegas-ban történik, az Vegas-ban is marad, nemde? Hát, ebben az esetben lehet, hogy nem éppen így történik...

Zoey Mitchell az egyik legeslegjobb női főszereplő, akiről valaha is olvashattam. Pont. Bevezetésnek csak ennyit, most pedig engedjétek meg, hogy eláruljak nektek néhány fontos dolgot erről a karakterről. Zoey fodrászként dolgozik, és igazán tehetséges is ebben a szakmában, a vendégei imádják, mindig úgy érzik, amikor Zoey elkészült a frizurájukkal, hogy egy teljesen új ember lett belőlük, szóval egy igazán kreatív lányról van szó. A családjával a kapcsolata nem éppen problémamentes, a szülei egyáltalán nem támogatják őt, nem tetszik nekik, hogy a lányuk fodrászként keresi a kenyerét, nem igazán tetszik nekik ez a döntés. Úgy gondolják, hogy csak ők tudják, mi is jó lányuk számára, pontosan ezért is akarják, hogy feleségül menjen egy nála sokkal idősebb férfihez, aki nem mellesleg egy igen sikeres és elismert orvos, úgy gondolják, hogy ő majd tud gondoskodni Zoey-ról. Ő viszont egyáltalán nem akarja ezt. Ő azt az életet akarja élni, amit ő megálmodott magának. Szóval igen, mondhatjuk úgy is, hogy ő a család "fekete báránya".
Zoey nővére nemsokára összeházasodik élete nagy szerelmével, és már épp ideje is van egy lánybúcsúztatónak. Ezt a nagy eseményt nem is akárhol, pontosan Las Vegasban szeretnék megünnepelni. És tudjátok mit? Pontosan akkor mennek ők is oda, amikor Riley és Diesel. És Zoey az a szőke hajú lány, aki Riley figyelmét szinte azonnal felkelti. És aki már a felesége.

Wow. Megint össze kell kapnom magam, mert ennek az értékelésnek az írása elképesztően sok érzelmet vált ki belőlem. Csak szimplán annyira jó, hogy megint a Bishop farmról és erről a családról olvashattam. Annyira otthon érzést kelt az olvasóban. Nagyon nem akarok megint sírni, te jó ég már sírtam eleget a könyv olvasása közben. Leginkább az "eredeti" Bishopok miatt. Ne is kérdezzétek, fogalmam sincs, hogy miért. Csak annyira jó volt megint egy kicsit róluk is olvasni, arról olvasni, hogy boldogok és sikeresek és úristen én tuti, hogy sírni fogok hamarosan.
Imádtam, ahogy Alex River-re nézett még mindig ugyanazzal a szeretettel és imádattal, mint az eddigi könyvekben, és imádtam azt is, hogy még mindig ugyanolyon jók és boldogok együtt.
Imádtam, ahogy a Bishop testvérek ugratták egymást.
Imádtam, ahogy Riley és Rowan ugratták egymást. Imádtam, hogy Riley egy elképesztően védelmező testvér, aki csakis a legeslegjobbat szeretné a huga számára, viszont a lány nem éppen szeretné, ha a bátyja mindig ott lenne mellette, és ezt sokszor ki is mondja, de attól az, hogy szeretik egymást, az nagyon is nyilvánvaló.
Imádtam, hogy annyira nagyon sok szeretet van ebben a családban.
Diesel és Riley... A lehető legjobb barátság az övéké, amiről valaha is olvashattam. Még több Diesel és Riley pillanatot szeretnék. Sokkal többet.
Imádtam, hogy Fisher-t is megismerhetjük ebben a regényben, aki Courtney és Drew fia (róluk a This is Reckless-ben és a This is Effortless-ben olvashattok bővebben).
Imádtam Mama Bishop-ot, ő a legeslegjobb könyves nagyi, akiről valaha is olvashattam.
Egyszerűen csak imádtam ezt a könyvet.
“And

falling on the floor.

no,” I say with a smirk. “That

Riley totálisan olyan mint az édesapja. Mármint... Ha belegondolunk, Alex egy terhes lánnyal ment haza, most pedig Riley egy feleséggel tért haza a hétvégi kiruccanásból. Az élet mindig zajlik a Bishop farmon.
Annyira nagy élmény volt Riley-ról olvasni, úristen ez a srác annyira édes. Szerintem az ő történetét jobban is szeretem, mint az édesapjáét, és ezek nagy szavak egy olyan nagy Bishop Brothers rajongótól, mint én. De most komolyan, amikor befejeztem a Bishop Brothers kötetek olvasását, akkor még nem is sejtettem, hogy egy nap az lehetéséges lesz, hogy én egy könyvet jobban szeretek majd ezeknél. De megtörtént. Félreértés ne essék, még mindig ugyanúgy imádom ezeket a regényeket, de ugyanakkor... Ugyanakkor Riley Bishop jött, látott és győzött, elrabolta a szívem és teljesen levett a lábamról. És pontosan ugyanez történt Diesel-lel is. Imádom ezt a srácot. ♥
Riley az édesapja kiköpött mása. Egy úriember nagyszerű személyiséggel, lehetetlen őt nem szeretni. Szorgalmas és rengeteget dolgozik, ahol csak tud, ott segít, szerető, kedves, édes, vicces, határozott, magabiztos, gondoskodó és sóóóóóóhaj. Kaphatok egy Riley Bishop-ot? Léci léci? Léciiiiii.
Ahogy már fentebb is említettem, Zoey az egyik legeslegjobb női főhősnő, akiről valaha is olvashattam. Igen, az tény, hogy hibát követett el, és emiatt akadnak kisebb-nagyobb gondok, de én nagyon is büszke vagyok erre a karakterre. Büszke vagyok rá, mert nem hagyja csak úgy szó nélkül, hogy mások döntsenek helyette, és hogy mások irányítsák az életét. Nem akarja azt a mintaéletet, amit a szülei szánnak neki, és igenis kiáll azért, amit ő szeretne. Imádtam, amikor ezt mind elmondta nekik, az egyik legjobb jelenet volt a könyvben, annyira inspiráló tud lenni ez a karakter. Riley és Zoey együtt pedig annyira tökéletesek, a VALAHA VOLT legédesebb páros. Annyira jók együtt. Nem akartam, hogy ennek a könyvnek vége legyen. Oké, nekem újra kell olvasnom ezt a történetet.
Lyra és Brooke annyira tehetségesek a legjobb barátok megalkotásában, Diesel kifejezetten az egyik legnagyobb kedvencem és még többet és többet és többet akarok róla olvasni. És szerencsére, erre lesz is lehetőség. Naptárakba bevésni a következő dátumot: 2020. március 24. Catching the Cowboy. Nagyon korán van még a visszaszámláláshoz?

Mindent figyelembe véve, ez a regény abszolút megérdemli az összes létező csillagot. És még sokkal többet is. Ez a könyv MINDEN, amire egy romantikus regény kedvelőnek szüksége van. SZÜKSÉGETEK van Riley Bishop-ra. SZÜKSÉGETEK van az egész Bishop családra. És SZÜKSÉGETEK van Diesel-re is. Úristen, ez a srác egyszerűen minden, ő az életem, többet akarok olvasni róla. Ezeknek a karaktereknek egy különleges hely van fenntartva a szívemben, teljesen a függőjük lettem, viszont a Hitching the Cowboy mindent egy teljesen új szintre emel. Annyira imádnivaló. Annyira érzelmekkel teli. Annyira inspiráló. Annyira jó, hogy sírni akarok. Szavakkal egyszerűen képtelen vagyok kifejezni, hogy mennyire is csodálatos Riley és Zoey története. Próbáltam keresni a megfelelőt, de semmelyik sem volt elég jó. Már régóta imádom a Bishop Brothers sorozatot, de a Hitching the Cowboy jócskán megsokszorozta ezt az imádatot. A Bishopok következő generációja egyszerűen M-I-N-D-E-N. Úristen, ettől a történettől garantáltan le fog esni az állatok.
Romantikakedvelők, mindenféle kérdés nélkül, ez egy KÖTELEZŐ OLVASMÁNY a számotokra. Készüljetek fel, mert Riley Bishop már készen áll arra, hogy elrabolja a szíveteket és nem fogja visszaadni nektek. És nem is fogjátok akarni visszakapni.

Okay. So. Huh. Wow. I need to get myself
together to write a full review. I have finished reading this book like a week
ago and I still can not stop thinking about this story. I am still completely
speechless. If you follow me on any social media sites I am sure you know, but
if not: I am a huge fan of Kennedy Fox novels, especially their Bishop Brothers
series. These books have a special place in my heart, I love rereading them,
this family is simply everything and you feel while you are reading these
stories that you want to be a part of that family and you just want to hug
everyone. When I have finished reading the Bishop Brothers series, I wanted to read more about this family, just as two of my amazing friends and many more romance readers, and in July, Lyra and Brooke have announced that they are writing the stories of the next generation of Bishops. You can imagine how happy I was. I couldn't even believe it. And then that was not everything! They also mentioned that the first book will be released in November. THIS November. Almost unbelievable. And now we are here, and the first next generation book is released. ♥ It is even more unbelievable.
Now, I thought that this obsession can not be increased. I didn't think I could be even more addicted to these characters. I. Was. Wrong. Hitching the Cowboy takes this obsession to a whole new
level. Why? Well, let's see.

One of the protagonist is Riley Bishop (siiiiiiiiiiiigh, it's only the beginning and I am already starting that swooning thing, oh God I'm so sorry but I just can't help it), who is the eldest Bishop grandkid, he is twenty-two years old (almost twenty-three) and he is living the best life possible. He is working on his family's ranch, he is loving the cowboy life, he is very hard-working, he has a loving family and friends, so he is pretty happy right now. His best friend, Diesel (it is his nickname), is the "birthday boy", his birthday is coming soon, and Riley prepared an awesome birthday gift for him, namely, he is taking him for a weekend trip to Las Vegas.
After they arrive they start to really celebrate Diesel's birthday. Seriously, I was already laughing so much, but when they arrive to Vegas... Oh my goodness. These guys... They are incredible. Diesel... I am speechless. Okay, just read it for yourself, I do not want to spoil it, it is too good to spoil it. But let me give you a little advice: if you can, do not read it in public because you will laigh a lot. I warned you.
While they are celebrating, a little something makes their whole trip a lot more interesting and funny. Because of that, they go to a place and that is where Riley first sees a gorgeous blonde girl who catches his attention instantly. Fortunately, that is not the only place where they meet, later they find each other again and oh my goodness that chemistry is sizzling hot between them.
But everything changes when the next day he wakes up and he finds out that he is not alone in the room he booked for himself and Diesel, he finds the blonde girl with whom he spent an amazing night next to him sleeping. You could say that there is nothing special about it. But what if a little thing, namely a ring, comes into the picture and after that the girl is not simply a girl, she is now Riley's wife. It changes their life forever. But what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas, right? Well, in that case, maybe not...

Zoey Mitchell is one of the best heroines I have ever read about. Period. That is just for a little introduction, now let me tell you some more things about her. Zoey works as a hair stylist, and she is pretty awesome, her clients love her, and she surely knows what she do because they always feel like a new person after Zoey did something to their hair, she is super creative. Her relationship with her family is not that easy, her parents do not support her life choices, they think that Zoey should not be a hair stylist, and they think that they know what is the best for her, that is why they want her to marry a much older guy, who is a very successful and prestigious doctor and can take care of her. But Zoey do not want that. She wants to live her life the way she wants. So yeah, she is the "black sheep" of her family.
She has a sister, who is going to be married soon, and they want to celebrate that with a bachelorette party. More exactly, they want to have that party in Las Vegas. And guess what? They are in Vegas when Riley and Diesel are there too. And Zoey is that blonde girl who caught Riley's attention. And who is now his wife. What would you do if you woke up after a wild night in Las Vegas and realized you were married to a cowboy? I think you're trying to kill me,” he says, swallowing hard. “Because I heard you say wife, and
there is no way my only son would get married without telling me first.”
Riley grunts, rolling his eyes. “Now you’re being more dramatic than
Mom.”
“Oh
God, your mother knows? Does she still have a pulse?” he asks seriously. “Better yet, how are you still
standing after she whipped your ass?”
Wow. Let me put myself together again, becasue writing this review gives me all the feels again. It is just so good being back at the Bishop ranch and reading about this family. It feels like home. It is home. And I really don't want to cry again, but oh my goodness I cried so much reading this book. Mostly because of reading about the "original" Bishops again. Don't ask, I don't really know why. It just felt so good reading about them being happy and successful and oh I will cry again.
I loved the way Alex looked at River, they are still so in love and happy together.
I loved the bater between the brothers.
I loved the banter between Rowan and Riley. I loved that Riley is such a protective brother, he just wants the best for her little sister, who does not really want his brother to protect her from everything, but it is so visible that they love each other.
I loved that there is so much love in this family.
Diesel and Riley... Totally friendship goals. I want more Diesel and Riley moments. A lot more.
I loved that we could meet Fisher, Courtney and Drew's son from This is Reckless and This is Effortless.
I loved Mama Bishop, she is definitely the best bookish grandma ever.
I just simply loved this book.
“And
stay away from my sister.” I jab my finger hard into his chest. “I’m serious.”
“We’ll
see,” he taunts. “Don’t you
want me as a brother-in-law?” He proceeds to kick of his dirty boots, dried mud
falling on the floor.
“Hell
no,” I say with a smirk. “That
will be the day hell freezes over.”
He shrugs. “Imma make you an uncle one day!”
“Fuck
off!” I yell before I leave.
Riley is absolutely just like his father. Like father, like son. I mean... Alex is back at the ranch with a pregnant girl, and now Riley is back with a wife. Life is full of events on the Bishop ranch.
It was so much fun reading about Riley, oh my goodness he is such a sweetheart. I think I adore his story even better than his father's. And these are big words coming from an avid Bishop Brothers fan like me. Seriously, when I finished reading the Bishop Brothers, I didn't think it could be possible for me to love a book even more. But it is. Don't get me wrong, I am still completely in love with those stories, but at the same time... At the same time, Riley Bishop happened and he stole my heart and swept me off my feet. The very same happened with Diesel. I just love that guy. ♥
Riley is the spitting image of his father. He is totally a Southern gentleman, he has such an amazing personality, it is impossible not to love him. He is so hard-working, loving, kind, sweet, funny, determined, confident, caring and oh siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh. Can I have a Riley Bishop? Pretty please? Pleaseeeeeeeee.
As I have already mentioned before, Zoey is definitely one of the best bookish heroines I have ever read about. Yes, she may do something that causes some problems, but at the end of the day, I am so proud of her. I am so proud of her because she does not let other people control her life. She does what she wants and feels that is the best for her. She does not want that cookie cutter life her parents want for her. I absolutely loved when she finally confessed that to them, she can be such an inspiring character. Zoey and Riley... The sweetest bookish couple EVER. They are so perfect together. I didn't want that book to end. Okay, I need a reread.
Lyra and Brooke are so awesome in writing bookish best friends, Diesel is definitely one of the best and I want more and more and more Diesel moments. And we will get more. Mark your calendars: March 24th, 2020. Catching the Cowboy. Is it too early to start counting down the days?
After we help her move every single box,
she thanks me with a hug. Then she turns to Diesel and gives him a handshake
and a glare.
“I’ll
take a kiss as a thank you.” He leans down, pointing at his cheek.
“Will
you turn back into a toad if I do?” she jokes, playfully slapping his arm.
“No,
sweetheart, I’m already your prince.”
Taking everything into account, all I need to say is: all the Southern stars. This book
deserves all the Southern stars. And even a lot more. This book is EVERYTHING a
romance reader needs. You NEED Riley Bishop in your life. You NEED the whole
Bishop family in your life. And you NEED Diesel too. OMG, that guy is everything, he is my life, I want to read more about him. These characters have a very special place in my
heart, I am obsessed with them, but Hitching the Cowboy takes everything to the
next level. So adorable. So emotional. So inspiring. This book is so good I
wanna cry. Words can not express how much I adore Riley & Zoey's story. I
tried to find one, but nothing is good enough. Hitching the Cowboy is a small
town romance at its finest. I was already super obsessed with the Bishop Brothers
series, but Hitching the Cowboy takes this obsession to the next level. This
next generation is E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G. God this book is definitely jaw
dropping in the best way possible.
Romance readers, witout any questions,
it is a MUST READ for you. Buckle up, because Riley Bishop is ready to steal
your heart and he won't give it back to you. And you won't even want it back.
Absolutely a six stars favourite. ♥ For me, it is definitely one of the best books of 2019. ♥ Go and read it. You will thank me later. ♥
