Hölgyeim és uraim, fel a cowboy csizmákkal és kalapokkal, hiszen hamarosan újra visszalátogatunk a Bishop farmra.
Az álmok valóban valóra vállnak. Én és Elsa (Instagramon @bookishaurora felhasználónévvel találhatjátok meg) hatalmas rajongói vagyunk Kennedy Fox Bishop Brothers című könyvsorozatnak, és már hónapokkal ezelőtt beszélgettünk arról, hogy milyen nagyszerű is lenne, ha az írónők megalkotnák a spin-off sorozatát, amely egyben a Bishopok következő generációjáról szólna, tehát a sorozat főszereplőinek a gyermekei lennének a középpontban. Mi ketten ezt annyira nagyon akartuk és a napokban az írónők a hírlevelükön keresztül egy csodálotos hírrel lepték meg az olvasóikat, hiszen igenis meg fog jelenni ez a spin-off sorozat, méghozzá nem is olyan sokára. A Hitching the Cowboy várhatóan november 12-én fog megjelenni, a borítóleleplezésre pedig várhatóan szeptember 25-én fog sor kerülni. Még egy kis plusz: Elsaval kitaláltuk, hogy a Hitching the Cowboy megjelenéséig minden egyes csütörtökön posztolni fogunk a Bishop testvérekről és a Circle B farm cowboyairól. Az első alkalommal nem más került a középpontba, mint a Taming Him, ami a Bishop Brothers sorozatnak a nyitókötete. Személy szerint nekem ez volt a legeslegelső olvasmányom ettől a duótól, és úristen én egyből bele is szerettem az írásmódjukba és a karaktereikbe. Annyira nagyon imádom ezt a sorozatot, Alex és River története pedig annyira varázslatos, imádnivaló és egyben egy tökéletes nyári olvasmány. Én nagyon nagyon őszintén és bátran tudom nektek ajánlani ezt az egész sorozatot minden olyan olvasónak, aki szereti a romantikus regényeket, higyjétek el, kellenek a Bishopok az életetekbe.

Kedvenc pillanataim a Taming Him-ből
A mai bejegyzés utolsó részeként pedig megmutatom nektek, hogy számomra melyek voltak a legkedvencebb pillanataim a Taming Him-ből. Elképesztően nehéz volt választani, hiszen imádom az első sortól kezdve egészen a legutolsóig, de remélem, hogy ezzel a néhány idézettel sikerült felkeltenem az érdeklődéseteket és abban is bízom, hogy adtok majd egy esély ennek a könyvnek és ezután pedig az egész sorozatnak. ♥

his Princess Cowgirl and all she left was her boot on the stairs at midnight?”
“No wonder you’re single,” I tell him,
stealing a fry from his plate, hoping to change the subject.
“I have little sisters. Give me a break.
Disney and princess shit is something I’ve had to deal with for years. So I
guess things didn’t go as planned, then?”
I give him a look that tells him he’s
right.
“This just keeps gettin’ better and
better.” He continues eating, not taking his eyes from me,
waiting for me to spill the beans.
“Or worse,” I correct. “After one of the
best nights of my life, I was kicked to the curb like a stray dog,” I finally
tell him.
Dylan laughs so hard I’m concerned I
might have to give him the Heimlich. (…) After he catches his breath, he shakes
his head.
“I’ve always heard that Karma’s a Bitch,
but now I might actually believe it. Alex Bishop has
finally met his match. Perfect. Can’t
wait to watch how this plays out.”
“You’re a dick,” I mutter as he cleans
his plate. “A nasty dick at that.”
“I learned everything I know from you,”
he says as he stands to dump his tray in the trash.
I let out a laugh. “So what you’re
saying is I’ve created a monster. Great.”

between us—a connection. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but I felt it the
first time I saw you, and if my instincts are right, you did too.”
I nod in agreement but don’t offer him
anything else just yet.
“But if I go back to Texas knowing I
didn’t try my hardest with one of the prettiest and most
stubborn women I’ve ever met, I’ll live
to regret it. And I’m sorry, darlin’, but I don’t like to regret anything in my
life. So, as I said, we can go about this the hard way or the fun and easy way.
I’m even willing to play all the games you want, but we’re runnin’ out of time
here. So I’m going out on a limb and cutting to the chase.” He tilts my chin,
so our eyes are locked. “I haven’t stopped thinking about you since that first
time we met, so while we’re both here, why don’t we explore this connection we have?”
“Why are you so perfect?”
“Trust me, I’m not. But you make me want
to be.”
“I love you, River.”
“I love you so much,” I say, my voice
barely working. I don’t want this moment to end.
“Please spend the rest of your life with
me,” Alex whispers across my mouth.
My eyes flutter closed, and it all seems
like a dream. “Yes, yes. Forever.”
For a moment, I forgot everyone was
standing around watching us until Jackson yells out, “GET A ROOM!”
John chuckles, smacking a hand on his
shoulder. “This is Jackson, my asshole brother. Sorry, it can be kinda
confusing when you don’t know we’re twins. And he’s such a dick, he’ll pretend
he’s me, especially around pretty ladies.”
“I’m much better looking though, right?”
Jackson winks. (…)
“Stop, dickhead. This is River,” John
tells him. (…)
After a minute, Jackson finally laughs
and slaps his leg. “You’re a real person. I wasn’t
convinced.” He looks me up and down
again. “But now I understand.”
I playfully roll my eyes. “Well, I hope
whatever’s been said about me is all good.”
“Oh yeah, totally. Just have an obsessed
Bishop, which is damn right annoyin’ when you’re on the other end of that
conversation. If I had to hear about that vacation one more time, I was gonna
kill Alex.”

Dreams really
come true. Me and Elsa (you can find her on Instagram as @bookishaurora) are huge fans of the Bishop Brothers
series by Kennedy Fox and we were talking a lot about it a few months ago that
we would be so happy if they wrote a second generation series, so the protagonists of these novels would be the kids of the couples in the Bishop Brothers series. We wanted it so
bad and now it's happening! A few days ago Lyra and Brooke shared an amazing news with their readers, and yes, the next generation of Bishops is coming, and the release day is not so far away. Hitching the Cowboy is releasing on November 12th, and they will show us the final cover on September 25th. And guess what? Elsa and me did a thing and we are so
excited that finally we can share it with you. Every Thursday leading up to the
release of Hitching the Cowboy (November 12th, it's so close), we are posting
all about the Bishop Brothers and the cowboys at the Circle B Ranch! Wanna

So our first post is for Taming Him, which is the first book
in the Bishop Brothers series. It was my very first read by this duo and OMG
this novel totally made me fall in love with their writing and characters. I
adore this series so so much, Alex and River's story is so magical, adorable
and it is a perfect summer read too. I can very very highly and very very
honestly recommend this whole series to you, trust me you need those Bishops in
your life. Save a horse, ride a cowboy.

My favourite moments from Taming Him
The last part of today's post is a little section with my favourite quotes/moments from Taming Him. It was so super hard to pick only a few, becasue I loved this book from the very first line to the very last, but I hope that I can make you excited for this book with these quotes, and also, I really really hope that you will give a chance to this novel and after that, to the whole series. ♥ It is so worth reading, I can wholeheartedly recommend it to you. ♥
