Sarah Darlington But First, Coffee című regénye hivatalosan tegnap jelent meg. Elvileg ez a könyv a Love & Coffee sorozat nyitókötete, viszont ez egy teljesen egyedülálló kötet, befejezett történetet kapunk, nincs függővége.
Sarah Darlington nekem még nagyon új írónak számít, még egyáltalán nem olvastam tőle, egészen a But First, Coffee-ig, viszont ezzel sikerült megnyernie magának, és már tervezem is, hogy olvasni fogok tőle mást is. Ha egy nem szokványos, sőt, kifejezetten egyedi, romantikus, és kissé rejtélyes olvasmányra vágytok, akkor ez a könyv tökéletes választás lesz számotokra. Miért is? Lássuk csak...

A könyv főhősnője Lana Bitterman, aki egy fiatal, erős, elszánt, ambiciózus nő. Mindössze 30 éves, viszont fiatalkora ellenére már nagyon sok mindent elért, még pedig azt, hogy egy kávéforgalmazó cég vezetője (Java Beans). Ez azért egy elég szép teljesítmény, ugye? Igen, ez így annak is tűnik, viszont mind sejthetjük, hogy ez mennyi munkával is jár, szóval ennek a munkának is megvannak a maga sötét oldalai. Nagyon sokat kellett tennie azért, hogy eljusson idáig, és most, hogy ott van ahol, még több dolga lett. Lana rengeteget dolgozik, és ebből is következik, hogy szinte alig van ideje másra, és ebbe beletartozik a párkapcsolat is; a nő néha már egy kicsit magányosnak is érzi magát.

Joe Coffee egyáltalán nem az a tipikus barista, akinek gondolnátok, ő sokkal, de sokkal több ennél. Először is, hagy kezdjem azzal, hogy még mindig nem tudok betelni a nevével, mert milyen jó már! ♥ Őszintén, amikor először olvastam a könyv fülszövegét, akkor nagyon meglepődtem, hogy ez az egyik főszereplő neve, de emiatt csak még jobban akartam olvasni.
Joe egy 24 éves, nagyon jóképű, energetikus, tehetséges, magabiztos fiatal férfi. Jelenleg pedig van egy terve. Olyan közel akar kerülni Lana-hoz, amilyen közel csak lehetséges, meg kell ismernie őt, meg kell szereznie azokat az információkat, amelyekre szüksége van, elárulni annak, akinek kell, és ezután ő végzett is mindennel. Most még ez csak egy terv, de mi is fog történni? Hát, az egyáltalán nem szerepelt a tervében, hogy szerelmes lesz a nőbe. Kettejük között szinte szikrázik a levegő, azt, hogy vonzódnak egymáshoz, ha akarnák sem tudnák letagadni, forróbbnál forróbb jeleneteket tartalmaz a könyv.
Ezektől eltekintve: miért van Joe-nak egy ilyen terve? Ki is a "rossz fiú"? Mit is akar? Mi a célja? Mi fog történni Joe-val és Lana-val? Hát, ezekre a kérdésekre a válaszok Sarah Darlington But First, Coffee című alkotásában rejlenek, szóval ne is húzzuk tovább az időt, olvassátok el!

Joe és Lana karakterét egyszerűen nem lehet nem szeretni. Nekem mindketten hatalmas kedvenceim lettek, azokat a jeleneteket különösen szerettem, amikor mind a ketten szerepeltek. Az írónő írásmódját ezen a ponton szeretném kiemelni, nekem abszolút tetszett a fogalmazásmódja, nagyon olvasmányos az egész történet. Külön tetszett, hogy a regény két szemszögből íródott, és nem csak azért, mert ebből következően többet megtudhattunk a főszereplőkről, hanem azért is, mert így egy kicsit jobban átlátható, de mégis kiszámíthatatlan lett az egész. Ez engem nagyon megfogott.
Kettejük mellett Joe húga, Kitty, szerintem egész jó karakter lett, kíváncsi vagyok, hogy mi fog vele történni.

Egyetlen egy apró problémám volt a könyvvel - vagyis inkább egy karakterrel. Nem akarok semmit sem lespoilerezni senkinek, de azért megpróbálok írni róla. Amikor már mindenre fény derült, minden meg lett magyarázva, az egyik karakter indítéka még akkor is olyan érthetetlen volt nekem. Jó volt minden, csak ezt a részt mégis egy kicsit furának éreztem. Mindössze ennyi negatívumot tudnék felhozni, ettől eltekintve elképesztően jó történetet kapunk a But First, Coffee-ban.

Mindent egybevéve, készítsetek egy finom kávét és kezdjétek el olvasni Sarah Darlington But First, Coffee című regényét. Ez a könyv nagyon meg fog lepni titeket, de ezen kívül kifejezetten titokzatos, romantikus, és még egyes helyeken nagyon poénos, mosolyt tud csalni az arcotokra. Összességében, ez a regény kifejezetten jó lett, őszintén tudom ajánlani, leginkább a romantikus könyvek kedvelőinek. Ha még ráadásul a kávét is szeretitek, akkor egyenesen imádni fogjátok.
A fentebb említett okok miatt 4.75 csillagot adok a könyvnek.

But First, Coffee by Sarah Darlington was officially released yesterday. This novel is part of the Love & Coffee series, but this book is completed, there is no cliffhangers.
Sarah Darlington is a very new-to-me author, But First, Coffee was my first book I have ever read by her, and in my opinion, it was totally awesome. I am already planning to read more and more of her books, can not wait to start these.

like I liked my coffee, he was bold, strong, a little bitter, a little sweet,
and always hot.
The female main character is Lana Bitterman, who is a very ambitious young lady. She is only 30 years old, and she has already achieved a lot of things, for example, she is the CEO of a big coffee business (Java Beans). That is pretty nice, right? Yeah, we can say so, but also, we can imagine how hard she has to work to achieve this, to get this position, so this job also has a dark side, too. She really works a lot, now, she even has more things to do. Because of that,she has barely time for anything else, and it also includes relationships, Lana often feels a little bit lonely.

Joe Coffee is not your tipical barista, he is much more than that. Firstly, let me start with that: how cool is his name, I absolutely love it (and him too, he is a fantastic character)! ♥ To be honest, when I read the blurb of this book at the first time, I was kinda surprised that this is one of the main character's name, but because of that I really-really wanted to read this novel.
Joe is a 24 years-old very good-looking, hot, energetic, talented and confident man. Also, he has a plan. He has to get close to Lana, as close as possible, get to know her, and get the information he needs, deliver it, and after that, he is gone. But now, that is just a plan. What will happen? Well, his plan does not include that he should fall in love with her, but yes, that is what happens. The chemistry is there from the very first moment, and they can not deny it, there are so many steamy scenes in this book.
But also: why he needs a plan? Who is the bad guy? What does he want? And why? What happens with Joe and Lana? Well, all the answers for your questions are in But First, Coffee by Sarah Darlington, so let's not waste time, start it right now.

Joe and Lana are both fantastic characters, you can not not love them. They easily and fast became one of my biggest favourites (especially Joe ♥), and they are so awesome together, and amazing couple, I really loved the scenes when they are both there. I would also like to write about the author's writing style, which I absolutely loved, But First, Coffee is a well-written novel. Especially, I loved that the book was is told from dual point of views, and yes, because of that, we can get to know the characters better, but mostly I loved this, because however we can get to know more, the story stays mysterious.
Also, I liked Joe's sister, Kitty, and I can not wait to read her story too and find out what happens with her.

Nevertheless, I had a little (really, it was little) problem with this book; well, actually it was a character. I do not want to spoil anything, but I will try to write down what my problem was without spoilers. At the end, when everything is solved, and the "bad guy" confesses, it was a little weird for me. After this character tells why do the things he do, I still didn't understand everything. That was all my problem, otherwise, I really liked this story, it was a fun read.

Taking everything into account, grab a cup of delicious coffee and start reading But First, Coffee by Sarah Darlington. This story will surprise you, it is mysterious, and so romantic, steamy, and sometimes funny. All in all, it is a pretty amazing book, I honestly recommend it, especially to readers, who like romance novels. If you love coffee, it is a bonus point, you will absoultely adore this novel.
I give this book 4.75 stars.
