Körülbelül két hónappal ezelőtt olvastam Kennedy Fox Needing Him című alkotását, és még mindig teljesen a hatása alatt vagyok. EZ a legeslegkedvencebb regényem eddig az írónőktől. Ohh Evan! ♥ A Bishop Brothers sorozatnak ez a második kötete, az első a Taming Him, amiről már fel is töltöttem az értékelésemet (IDE kattintva ezt is elolvashatjátok), amiben a következőt írtam:

Igen, Alex és River történetének elolvasása után biztosan állíthatom, hogy ő egy tökéletes könyves álompasi. Tovább fokozva ezt az egészet: mind a négyen azok. (Készüljetek fel rendesen, felejthetetlen élményben lesz részetek! ;) ) Alex-ről többet is megtudhattok, ha elolvassátok az értékelésemet és/vagy magát az ő könyvét, de most térjünk is vissza Evan és Emily történetére, a Needing Him-re. Fentebb azt olvashattátok, hogy az írtam, Evan miatt egyre többre és többre lesz szükségetek. Nos, ez teljesen igaz. Egyáltalán nem akarjátok majd, hogy ez a regény véget érjen. Miért? Nézzük csak...

A Taming Him végén egy kis betekintést nyerhetünk a Needing Him-be, szóval már azt nagyjából tudhatjuk, hogy hogyan is kezdődik Evan és Emily története. Te jó ég, már csak ezt a rövid kis részletet olvasva sejtettem, hogy egy vicces kezdet elé nézünk, de magát a könyvet is olvasva bebizonyosodott, hogy ez bizony így is van, és a humorossága mellett még pluszban ez egy kicsit félreértett is volt.
Dr. Emily Bell egy fiatal és egyben sikeres nő. Orvosként dolgozik, imádja a munkáját, azonban azt nem igazán mondhatjuk, hogy jelenlegi munkahelyén boldog is. Ráadásul, a történet legelején párkapcsolatban van, ez viszont nem tart sokáig, ugyanis hamar rájön, hogy barátja már egy jó ideje csalja őt. Ezután úgy dönt, hogy elhagyja ezt a helyet, és egy kisebb városba költözik, hogy elfelejthesse az egészet, és hogy új életet kezdhessen. Történetesen itt lakik egykori főiskolai legjobb barátnője, Kiera Young is, aki meggyőzi barátnőjét, hogy tartson vele Alex és River esküvőjére, és ekkor jön el az a nap, amikor Emily és Evan legelőször találkoznak.
Az esküvő alatt Kiera és Emily nem tölt sok időt együtt, Kiera hamar elkerül a lány mellől, és így Emily magára marad, ez viszont nem tart sokáig. Hűha, 1000000%-ig biztos vagyok benne, hogy ezek a jelenetek sokkal forróbbak, mint a texasi hőség. És ez még csak nagyon a kezdet! Gondoljatok csak bele, hogy ha ez már ilyen, akkor mi lesz később. Ha még nem lennétek biztos benne: igen, együtt töltik az estét, de ebben is van egy kis csavar. Hogy mi? Ennek a napnak a folyamán Emily-t rengeteg embernek bemutatják, és a nevek már szinte összefolynak a fejében. Ezen már az sem segít, hogy az este folyamán többször is fogyasztott alkoholtartalmú italokat, így már nem éppen teljesen józan. Szóval amikor Evan-nel együtt töltik az éjszakát, akkor a nőnek fogalma sincs arról, hogy mi is a partnerének a neve. Másnap, amikor felébred, akkor pedig a legrosszabb következtetésre jut, amiből pedig egy igazán vicces jelenet következik.

Dr. Evan Bishop nem egy tipikus cowboy. Rajta kívül a családja minden tagja a farmon dolgozik és a családi vállalkozással kapcsolatos munkát végez, neki azonban mindig is az volt a legnagyobb álma, hogy orvos legyen és, hogy másokon segíthessen. Ezt az álmát valóra is váltotta, jelenleg nagyon sikeres és kifejezetten jól teljesít a munkájában. Rengeteget dolgozik, szinte csak ennek él, egyáltalán nem akar semmilyen kapcsolatba sem belebonyolódni. A családja a legfontosabb számára, és mindegyikőjüket nagyon szereti.
Igen, nem követte a családi hagyományokat, orvos lett, de ettől a családja ugyanúgy támogatja őt és nagyon büszkék rá. Ez az egyik dolog, ami miatt annyira szeretem olvasni ezt a sorozatot. Igen, náluk is voltak/vannak/és lesznek is problémák, de annyira imádtam, hogy bármi is történik ott vannak egymásnak, kérdés nélkül mindenkire számíthatnak, támogatják és segítik egymást. Ez tipikusan egy olyan történet, amit annyira szeretsz, hogy te is a része akarsz lenni a családnak és mindenkit egytől-egyig nagyon meg akarsz ölelni. ♥
Szóval, Evan számára ők az elsők, nincs is másra szüksége, nincs semmilyen kapcsolatra sem ideje. Amikor az öccse esküvőjén meglát egy gyönyörű és egyben titokzatos nőt úgy gondolja, hogy egy nap erejéig felrúgja a saját szabályait. Együtt töltik az éjszakát (egy nagyon-nagyon-nagyon FORRÓ éjszakát), és utána a következő nap reggele nem éppen úgy kezdődik, ahogyan azt ő gondolta. Később arra is rájön, hogy Emily hazudott neki, de ezelőtt még egy apróbb meglepetés is vár rá, ami nem éppen teszi boldogabbá a délelőttjét. Viszont nagyon vicces az egész, szóval az olvasók arcára biztosan mosolyt fog csalni. Ha ez még nem lenne elég, akkor még egy meglepetés érkezik az életébe: kiderül, hogy Emily lesz az új munkatársa. Jó kezdet, nem? Hogyan folytatódik kettejük története? Megtudhatjátok, ha elolvassátok Kennedy Fox Needing Him című alkotását.

HŰHA!!! Ez volt az összes reakcióm, miután elolvastam az utolsó sort is ebből a könyvből. Hűha. Ezek az írónők biztos, hogy tudják, hogy hogyan kell megírni egy kiváló regényt. A Bishop Brothers sorozat minden, amire egy romantika kedvelő olvasónak szüksége van, és ahogy egyre többet és többet olvasunk rólunk, egyre jobban és jobban megszeretjük őket, és csak még többet és többet akarunk.
Lyra Parish és Brooke Cumberland együttműködése számomra egyszerűen lenyűgöző. Imádom a stílusukat, az írásmóduk csak még olvasmányosabbá teszi a már amúgyis gyorsan olvasható és érdekes történetet. Humorban és romantikában abszolút nincs hiány, viszont itt is vannak jócskán érzelmesebb pillanatok is, amikor az olvasó nemgyőz "ohhh"-zni és álomdozóan sóhajtozni. Pulszban, ebbe a kötetbe került az egyik legmeglepőbb fordulat, és úristen!!! Ezeket az oldalakat szerintem még gyorsabban olvastam, hogy végre kiderítsem, hogyan is fog végződni ez a szál, és, hogy ez milyen hatással van a szereplők életére. És ahhh!!! Ekkor jön be még egy csavar, amire nem lehet számítani. Meglepetés meglepetés hátán.

És akkor most térjünk rá az értékelés legfontosabb részére, a szereplőkre, mert bizony van mit róluk is írni. Emily-t egyszerűen nem lehet nem kedvelni, ez a csaj egy nagyszerű könyves főhősnő. Vele nem lehet csak új ujjat húzni, ha valaki valami rosszat tesz vagy mond vele kapcsolatban, akkor biztosan nem hagyja magát. Céltudatos, okos, kitartó, a munkájában kifejezetten tehetséges, szóval egy kifejezetten talpraesett karakterrel van dolgunk. Evan-nek tökéletes párja lett, nagyszerűen kiegészítik egymást, szerintem neki pont egy ilyen lány kellett, és meg is kapta. Nagyon jól működnek együtt, imádom őket.
Evan pedig... Oh Evan! ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Számomra ő a legesleglenyűgözöbb kitalált férfi karakter, akiről valaha is olvastam. Annyira hihetetlen. Tökéletlenül tökéletes, szorgalmas, intelligens, gondoskodó, szerető, humoros és ahh... ♥ Ugyanakkor amíg egy kicsit jobban meg nem ismerik egymást Emily-vel, addig voltak olyan pillanatok, amikor nem tudtam eldönteni, hogy most imádom vagy nem, de voltak pillanatok, amikor kifejezetten azt kívántam, hogy Emily tegyen valamit, amivel észhez tudja téríteni. És tett is, pont ezért írtam fentebb is, hogy pont egy ilyen lány kellett neki. Viszont mikor már úgy igazán egymásra találnak Emily-vel... ahhh. ♥♥♥ Ettől kezdve biztos, hogy fültől fülig érő mosollyal olvasod ezeket a részeket. Imádat a tetőfokon. ♥ Nagyon, nagyon, de nagyon tetszett, ahogy ők ketten mind a magánéletükben, mind a munkahelyükön együtt tudtak dolgozni, mindent meg is tudtak beszélni, kifejezetten tökéletesek együtt. ♥♥
Természetesen, legnagyobb örömömre, a többi Bishop testvér is kap szerepet, így az ő életeikbe is nyerhetünk egy kis bepillantást. Alex és River a kisbabájukkal együtt egy cukiságfaktort kimaxolóan édes kis család, még mindig ugyanúgy szerethetőek. Jackson ugyanaz a nőfaló pasi, akit az előző könyvben is megismerhettünk, habár, egy picit talán már itt is kijön a féltékenyebbik énje. John itt még nekem egy picit rejtélyes volt, de mindig ezek a karakterek azok, akik a legérdekesebbek. (Már olvastam az ő történetét is, a Chasing Him-et, és ohhhh ♥♥♥♥ Erről hamarosan olvashattok is majd egy értékelést, ott majd mindent jobban kifejtek.) A Needing Him utolsó fejezete az ő kötetét nyitja még, és úristen, ő egy olyan helyzetbe kerül, amire abszolút nem lehetett számítani.

Mindent figyelembe véve: IMÁDOM. IMÁDOM. IMÁDOM. IMÁDOM. IMÁDOM. IMÁDOM. És még vagy ezerszer le tudnám írni ezt a szót, mert tényleg elképesztően imádtam ezt a regényt. Lyra Parish és Brooke Cumberland duója hamar nagyon nagy kedvencem lett, a Bishop testvérek pedig még hamarabb belopták magukat a szívembe. ♥

I NEED EVAN BISHOP. ♥
I have finished reading Needing Him by Kennedy Fox around two months ago, and I am still completely mesmerized by this novel. This IS my biggest favourite by these authors. Ohh Evan! ♥ I have already posted a review about the first book in Bishop Brothers series, which is Taming Him (CLICK HERE to read it), and in it, I wrote this:
"Alex
will amaze you and you will be totally blown away, Evan will make you crave for
more and more, John will make you swoon a lot (and I mean a really-really lot),
and Jackson will steal your heart completely. ♥♥♥♥"
Yes, after finishing Alex and River's story, I could honestly say that he is a perfect book boyfriend. Moreover, I already knew that all four of them are. (Get ready, these books are unforgettable.) You can read more about Alex's book in my review and if you give a chance to this novel, but right now, let's talk about Evan and Emily's story, Needing Him. Above you can see that I mentioned that Evan will make you crave for more and more. Yes, he will. You won't want to finish reading this novel. Why? Let's see...

At the end of Taming Him, there is a little sneak peek into Needing Him, so we can already know how Evan and Emily's story starts. OMG, reading that little chapter, I knew it will be a really funny start, and after reading their whole story, yes, it was quite a hilarious and at the same time a misunderstood begining.
Dr. Emily Bell is a successful young woman. She works as a doctor, and she loves her job, on the other hand, she is not so happy in her current workplace. Also, at the begining of the story, she is in a relationship, but it does not last long, because really soon Emily finds out, that her boyfriend cheats on her. As a result, she decides to move out of that city to forget everything and to start a new life. Her college best friend, who is Kiera Young, lives in that small town where Emily moves to. Kiera manages to convince her to go to Alex and River's wedding with her as her date, and that is when Emily and Evan first see each other.
During the wedding, Emily and Kiera do not spend a lot if time together, soon, Kiera bails on her, and she is alone, but not so long. One of the groomsmen (that would be Evan) finds her and keeps her entertained. We can say that they have a really good time together, and the chemistry that flows between them... Wow, I'm 1000000% sure that these moments are hottest than the Texas heat. And it is only the begining! Just magine what happens later. If you're wondering: yes, they spend the night together, but guess what? That day, Emily gets acquainted with a huge number of people, and it is hard for her to remember everybody's name. She also drinks a lot, so it is even a little bit more difficult. So when she hooks up with Evan, she does not have any idea about who he is, and when she wakes up, she thinks about the worst that could happen.

Dr. Evan Bishop is not your typical cowboy. His whole family works on the ranch or do something in connection with their family business, but he does not. He always wanted to be a doctor, it was his dream to help other people, and he made it happen, and he is very good and successful in it. We can say that he is kinda married to his job, he works a lot, and he is not interested in any other relationship. His family is the only thing which is important for him, and he loves them to pieces.
Yes, he works as a doctor, but his family members are completely supportive about it. That is one of the biggest thing I really adore this whole series. It is so awesome to read about a family, which is so happy. Yes, there were/are/and will be problems, but if something goes wrong, they have each other's backs, they are there to help. This is typically a story where you love all of the characters and you want to be a part of this family and huge them all. ♥
So for Evan, obviously, they are the most important, and he thinks that he does not need anybody else in his life right now, he does not have time for a relationship.
When he sees a beautiful and mysterious woman at his brother's wedding, he changes everything, but only for that day. They spend that night together (a very-very-very HOT night), and the following day does not start in a way he wanted it. Later, he finds out that Emily lied to him, but before that something happens which makes him even more angrier. But it also makes us, readers, laugh and it will definitely put a smile on everybody's face. If it is not already enough, another surprise: she is his new co-worker. Good start, isn't it? WOW!!! That was all my reaction after reading the last line in this book. Wow. These authors know how to write an excellent story that you'll love. Bishop Brothers is everything a romance reader needs, and with reading more and more about them, we adore them better and better and we want more and more.
Lyra Parish and Brooke Cumberland collaboration is absolutely wonderful. I love their style, their writings make the already amazing story more easy to read, and because of that, you can finish their novels very soon. There is no lack of romance and no lack of humor, however, besides being so swoonworthy romantic and extremely funny, there are some parts in this book too, which are super emotional, and you'll read these chapters with lots of sighs. Plus, there is a HUGE and SURPRISING twist, and I read these pages faster to find out what happens with them and how this event effect their lives. And ahhh!!! There is also a big surprise, and you can not expect it. Surprise after surprise.

Now, let's talk about the most important part of the book, the characters, because there are a lot of things to say about them. You can not not like Emily, she is such a fantastic bookish heroine. If somebody does or says something bad to her, she won't let him or her to get away with it. She is very tendentious, smart, determined and really talented. Emily is the perfect partner for Evan, they are a wonderful match, I really do think that he needed a woman like her and finally, he got one. They are so good for each other, I absolutely loved them together.
Evan... Oh Evan! ♥♥♥♥♥♥ For me, he is the most awesome bookish fictional male character I have ever read about. So incredible. Perfectly imperfect, hard-working, intelligent, caring, loving, funny and ahhh... ♥ On the other hand, until Emily and he really get to know each other, there are some moments when I could not decide that if I adore him or not, and there were some scenes when I just wanted Emily to kick him. :D Yeah, he is an adorable character, just sometimes, as all of us, he has some bad moments. He totally needed a girl like Emily.
But when they are really close to each other... ahhh. ♥♥♥ After that happens, you will read with a smile from your ear to ear on your face. ADORE. ♥ I really-really liked how they work together in their workplace and in their relationship, too, they can talk about everything, again: they ARE perfect together. ♥♥
Fortunately, the other members of the Bishop family also get some roles in this novel, too. Alex, River and their little baby are the most sweetest ever and still so loveable. Jackson is still that playboy who we can meet in the previous book, however, maybe, we can see his jealous side, too. For me, here, John is a little bit mysterious, but most of the time, the most myterious ones are the most interesting ones. (I have already read his story, Chasing Him, and ohhh ♥♥♥♥. I will upload a review about this book too, and I will write about him more in details.) The last chapter of Needing Him opens his story, and OMG he finds himself in such and unexpected situation.

Taking everything into account: I ADORE, ADORE, ADORE, ADORE, ADORE, ADORE this novel. Lyra Parish and Brooke Cumberland surely know how to write a fantastic novel that readers will absolutely adore and completely fall in love with the characters. ♥ These authors easily and super soon became one of my biggest favourites, and Bishop brothers even more easily stole my heart. ♥
Six stars. Without question. Six stars.
