Audrey Carlan International Guy című sorozatának első három kötete volt az első, amit az írónőtől olvastam. Ugyan már itthon megjelent a Calendar Girl is, de még sajnos nem jutottam el odáig, hogy sort is kerítsek rá, pedig a fülszövege alapján nekem érdekesnek tűnik. Szóval, Audrey Carlan számomra egy teljesen új író volt, így már kíváncsi is voltam rá, hogy miket is alkot.

A sorozat címe egyben a könyvben főszerepet kapó cégnek a neve. Az International Guy egy igen jól működő vállalkozás, amelyet három jó barát vezet: Parker, Bogart és Royce, akik többek is, mint barátok, már-már testvérekként tekintenek egymásra. Céljuk a céggel pedig az, hogy segítséget nyújtsanak a nőknek. És itt is jön képbe Sophie, akinek igen nagy segítségre van szüksége. Sophie megörökölte édesapja francia parfümgyártó cégét, ami nagyszerű, hiszen a lány mindig is parfümöket szeretett volna gyártani. Ez is jól is hangzik, nem? Hát, Sophie számára nagyon nem, ugyanis a céggel jöttek a gondok is. Parker, Bogart és Roye pedig mindent megtesznek, hogy segítsenek neki. Magabiztosabbá változtatják, ami kifejezetten jól jön, ha valaki egy nagy cég élére kerül; elérik, hogy Sophie vonzónak érezze magát. Azonban nem csak az ő életét keserítik meg a problémák, két másik nő is gondokkal küzd, amiket az International Guy tagjai szívesen segítenek megoldani. Parkernek megtetszik Sophie. De nem csak ő. Hanem még ott van Skylar is, aki egy igazán híres színésznő, és nem mellesleg a férfi teljesen oda meg vissza van érte, hatalmas rajongója. Parker élvezi az életet, utazgat, nem igazán szeretne megállapodni. Sikeres, intelligens, női partnereit is gyakran váltogatja. De vajon megtalálja azt a lányt, aki számára az igazi lesz? Az International Guy szerintem egy igazán szerethető sorozat, ezt az első három kötet alapján nyugodtan ki merem jelenteni. Nem volt tökéletes, megvoltak az apróbb hibái, de rendkívül szórakoztató és élvezhető. Nekem személy szerint a második volt a legkedvencebb, a többi is jó volt, de nekem valahogy a New York jobban kiemelkedett. Az egész sorozat nagyon jó, a karakterek rendkívül jól kidolgozottak, Audrey Carlan írásmódja pedig zseniális. Imádtam, ahogy az egész történet felépült, és egyre jobban és jobban megismerhettük a szereplőket. Megérdemli az öt csillagot.

Mindent egybevéve, Audrey Carlan az International Guy első három részével teljesen megvett magának, én biztosan folytatni fogom, mert nagyon kíváncsi vagyok rá, hogy mi is fog történni a következő kötetekben.

“I don’t want to go this road alone…”

The first three books in the International Guy series by Audrey Carlan were the first books I have ever read by the author. Calendar Girl was released in Hungarian, too, but unfortunately I haven’t had time to read it yet. But I will, because the blurb sounds quite amazing, and I want to find out what happens in it.

The story is about a really successful company, which is International Guy. It was founded by three friends: Parker, Bogart and Royce. These men are not just simply friends, they are more than that, they are more like brothers. Their purpose with the company is to help women.

Firstly, there is Sophie, who inherited her father's french perfume making company. It is pretty good, isn't it? Well, for Sophie, it is not. She just really want to make perfumes, but she inherited lots of problems with the company. She needs help. Men in International Guy are more than happy to help her. They made her more confident; she need to be confident in a huge company; and they made her to feel sexy and attractive. She is not the only woman who needs help to solve her problems, another women need the services of International Guy. Parker is intrigued by Sophie, but he also has a huge crush on another woman. She is Skylar, who is a very famous actress.

Parker enjoys his life, he travels a lot, meets lots of beautiful women, he is successful, intelligent and very good-looking. Will he and the other two men find their happily ever afters? Well, read International Guy by Audrey Carlan, and you'll find all the answers to your questions.

“I'm going to teach you a lot about yourself...”

I really do think that International Guy is an adorable series. It is not perfect, I think it has some minor problems, but these are very little. In my opinion, this series is entertaining, romantic and enjoyable. My absolute favourite is New York, I ADORE it. I liked the characters, the story itself is interesting, and I loved the way Audrey Carlan writes, I think it is genious. It deserves five stars.

Taking everything into account, I loved the first three books of the series and I will definitely continue it because I can't wait to find out what happens with the characters.
