Néhány nappal ezelőtt Karina Halle írónő bejelentette, hogy számos regénye borítóátalakuláson fog átesni, ez viszont csupán a kötetek keménytáblás kiadásának külsejét fogja érinteni. Az írónő a bejelentő posztjában kiemelte, hogy ezek csak limitált ideig lesznek megvásárolhatóak. Ez alól viszont kivételt jelent a Nothing Personal, ugyanis annak a puhatáblás és az e-könyv verziója is teljesen új külsőben pompázik.

Őszintén megmondva, nekem annyira nem tetszenek a Nordic Royals keménytáblás kiadásai. Az A Nordic Kingé még egész jól el is lett találva, de akkor sem mondanám, hogy hú de elájultam, amikor megláttam. A The Royal Rogue esetében szerintem a lila háttérrel nem igazán tud érvényesülni az virágok és a cím arany kerete, majdcsak teljesen elveszik benne. Én személy szerint a „Prince”, a „Heir”, a „King” és a „Rogue” szavak kiemelésére is másfajta, egy kicsit elegánsabb betűtípust használtam volna.

Az egyedülálló kötetek borítóit meglátva viszont igencsak boldog lettem, ezek aztán igazán csodaszépek lettek, mindegyik ábrázol valamit, ami csak az adott kötetre jellemző, ettől lettek igazán különlegesek. Én személy szerint sokkal jobban örültem volna neki, ha a Nordic Royals sorozat esetében is ezt a vonalat követi a tervező.

Ti mit gondoltok ezekről a borítókról?

Ui.: Karian néhány kötetét már magyar nyelven is olvashatjuk, ezért arra gondoltam, hogy ebben a posztba ezeket is beépítem. Minden egyes képen először a könyvek eredeti borítóját láthatjátok majd, aztán a keménytáblás kiadásokat, majd a végén pedig a magyar borítókat.

Here I am with a brand new blog post, this time I am bringing you a cover rereveal. A few days ago, Karina Halle announced that her covers would get new covers, but it is important to note that only the hardback editions got a makeover. Karina mentioned it in her announcement post that these hardcovers will only be available for a limited time.

One of her standalones, titled Nothing Personal, is an exception though, because from now on, its paperback and ebook version could only be purchased with the new and illustarated cover.

To be completely honest, I do not really like the hardback editions of the Nordic Royals books. Even though the cover of A Nordic King is kinda okay, I could not say that it took my breath away as soon as I saw it. In my opinion, in the case of The Royal Rogue, pairing the golden flower frame with a purple background was not a great idea, it kinda gets lost in it. And personally, I would have picked a font that is a little bit more elegant to highlight “Prince”, “Heir”, “King” and “Rogue” in the titles.

On the other hand, I was so super happy when I saw the hardback editions of her standalone, these are absolutely stunning. It would have been so much better if the Nordic Royals had gotten illustrated covers like these. I love that these have something that is very specific to the stories, these makes the covers so unique.
