Sziasztok! :)

Folytatódik a decemberi könyves kihívásom, amelyet egy kedves barátnőmmel együttműködve készítek. (Instagramon @shitofareaderslife felhasználónévvel találhatjátok meg, emellett pedig van egy blogja is, katt ide, ha meg szeretnétek nézni.) A mai bejegyzés az Új Év, Új Írók címet kapta, ebben a posztban tehát az olyan írókon lesz a hangsúly, akiknek a munkásságával a 2021-es év során ismerkedtünk meg. Azt itt fontos kiemelnem, hogy olyan írókat fogunk hozni, akinek nagyon szerettük az alkotásaikat, negatív élményekről most nem fog szó esni.

Ebben a bejegyzésben először az olvasási élményeimről fogok írni, aztán a csatolt képeken majd láthatjátok, hogy mely könyveket olvastam el ezektől az íróktól. Minden egyes kötetet imádtam, amelyet ezeken a képeken láthattok, de ha mindegyikről írnék, akkor nagyon hosszú lenne ez a poszt, így csak a legemlékezetesebbekről fogok nektek bővebben beszámolni.

Ha szeretitek az olyan regényeket, amelyekben a két főszereplő között van egy nagyobb korkülönbség (a férfi az idősebb, a nő a fiatalabb), akkor mindenképpen érdemes szétnézni Carian Cole könyvei között is. A 2021-es év folyamán két kötetet sikerült elolvasnom tőle, már a Don’t Kiss The Bride pár oldalának elolvasása után tudtam, hogy ő lesz az egyik legújabb kedvenc írónőm. Még az idei év legelején olvastam tőle ezt a két kötetet, és azóta is azon regények közé tartoznak, amelyek elképesztő módon levettek a lábamról. Olvassátok, szeressétek.

Eliah Greenwood Dear Love, I Hate You című regényét annyira megszerettem, hogy jelenleg is újraolvasom. Tegnap késő este döntöttem úgy, hogy szeretném újra átélni Aveena és Xavier érzelmekkel teli történetét, és már pontosan nem is tudom, hogy mikor hagytam abba az olvasást. És mi több, már a végére is értem. Ha szeretitek a középiskolában játszódó könyveket, akkor érdemes erre is vetni egy pillantást. Azt itt fontos megemlíteni, hogy a történet nagyon komoly dolgokkal is foglalkozik, mint például az öngyilkosság, gyász, iskolai zaklatás, párkapcsolaton belüli erőszak, szóval kérlek ezeket vegyétek figyelembe, mielőtt még elkezdenétek olvasni.

Ui.: Az írónő előrébb hozta a Dear Heart, I Hate You című regényének megjelenését (2022. március 5.-e helyett 2022. február 11.-től lesz megvásárolható), ami miatt én elképesztően boldog vagyok. Ennek a kötetnek a főszereplőinek életébe egy kis betekintést nyerhettek a Dear Love, I Hate You-ban is, én nagyon imádtam őket, alig várom, hogy végre még többet olvashassak róluk.

Ha legközelebb szükségem lesz egy jó kis humoros-romantikus történetre, akkor biztosan Erin McCarthy regényei között fogok keresgélni. Az írónő Weekend Wife című alkotása magasan az egyik legnagyobb kedvencem lett az idei olvasmányai között. Az írónő történetvezetése, írásmódja, karakterei és sztorijai tipikusan azok, amely néhány órára minden gondotokat elfeledtetik veletek és mosolyt csalnak az arcotokra.

He’s got a point there. Liam’s lips brushed my cheek. Too bad you’re stuck with me now.

I couldn’t stop the huge-ass grin from spreading across my face. I really liked the sound of that. “Fate disagrees. (…)” ❞

 

Jen L. Grey Wolfmoon Academy című sorozatáról már egy korábbi bejegyzésemben is írtam, viszont itt sem tudtam megállni, hogy ne említsem meg. Ha egy ifjúsági vérfarkasos romantikus regényre vágytok, akkor mindenképpen adjatok ennek is egy esélyt. Alig várom, hogy még több könyvet olvashassak az írónőtől.

 

 

↠ Natasha Knight

❝ You make me want things I don’t remember wanting. ❞

 

Ha szeretitek a maffiás-romantikus történeteket, akkor mindenképpen érdemes Natasha Knight írónő alkotásainak adni egy esélyt. Én idén szerencsére egész sokat tudtam olvasni tőle, engem teljesen sikerült megvennie magának. Zseniális a történetvezetése, számomra abszolút meglepőek voltak a cselekményei, a fordulatai észveszelytően jók. Még nagyon jól emlékszem rá, hogy a megjelenés után februárban kezdtem el olvasni a With This Ring című regényét, a történet brutális függővéggel záródik, hihetetlenül elnyerte a tetszésemet ez a kötet, alig vártam, hogy végre megjelenjen a folytatása. Azt itt muszáj megemlítenem, hogy a második rész ugyanabban a hónapban jelent meg, de a várakozás még így is borszatóan fájdalmas volt, szó szerint számoltam vissza a napokat február 23.-ig. Abszolút megérte várni rá, ha maffiás sztorira vágytok, mindenképpen nézzetek rá erre a duológiára is.

 

↠ Shey Stahl

Shey Stahltól ugyan még csak egy regényt sikerült elolvasnom, ezzel viszont igencsak maradandó élményt okozott nekem az írónő, sőt miután a végére értem, az írónő szinte azonnal felkerült a kedvenc íróim listájára. Már a borítóleleplezése óta tűkön ülve vártam a When We Met című alkotásának a megjelenését, és azt kell mondjam, megérte várni rá. Rendkívül szórakoztató kötetről van szó, bátran merem ajánlani azoknak, akik vágynak egy jó kis humorral megfűszerezett regényre.

Ui.: Az írónőnek már elkezdték magyarul is kiadni az alkotásait, az első nemrég jelent meg a Könyvmolyképző Kiadó gondozásában (a kötet címe Revel).

Here I am with the newest post for the December bookish challenge I am co-hosting with one of my dear friends. (You can find her as @shitofareaderslife on Instagram, and she has a blog too, click here if you want to check it out.) The theme for today’s topic is New Year, New Authors, and in this post, we will focus on authors whose books we only started to read in 2021. I would like to highlight that on this list, you will only read about novels we really loved, we will not talk about our negative reading experiences in this post.

First, I am going to write a little bit about my reading experiences, and then on the pictures attached, you will be able to see the books I have read by these authors. I loved all of the novels I added to these photos, but I do not want to make this post super long, so right now I will only talk about the most memorable ones.

↠ Carian Cole

If you are someone who passionately loves age gap romances (and in this case I mean the ones in which the hero is older than the heroine), then I think it is so super worth checking out books written by Carian Cole. During 2021, I managed to read two of her novels, Don’t Kiss The Bride was my very first, and after reading a few pages, I already knew she would become one of my biggest favourites. And she did. I have read these books by her at the very beginning of this year, and they are still on the top of my “best reads of 2021” list.

I adore Dear Love, I Hate You by Eliah Greenwood so so much, I am even currently rereading it. It was kind of a random idea, I just wanted to meet Aveena and Xavier again, and read about their epic and heartbreaking love story. I have started to read it late in the night, and I can not even tell you when I went to sleep. And moreover, I have already finished it. If you love high school romances, please check out this one too. It is important to mention that this book deals with hard topics, such as suicide, grief, bullying, abuse, so please take this into consideration before starting it.

PS.: The author changed the release date for Dear Heart, I Hate You (instead of March 5th, 2022, it is going to be released on February 11th, 2022), and this makes me so incredibly happy. You can get a little sneak peek into its main characters in Dear Love, I Hate You, I wholeheartedly love them and I can not wait to read more about them.

The next time I need something light and super funny, I am definitely going to search for a book written by Erin McCarthy. Her book titled Weekend Wife is one of the best romcoms I have read this year. Her writing style, characters and stories are typically the ones which will make you forget about all of your problems and put a smile on your face.

I have already written about the Wolfmoon Academy trilogy by Jen. L. Grey, but I just could not stop myself, I had to mention her in this post too. If you love werewolf romances, I can highly and honestly recommend it to you, give it a chance. I can not wait to read more of her novels!

If you love mafia and dark romances, then please check out books written by Natasha Knight too. Fortunately, I managed to read quite a few of her novels this year, her stories are just so captivating, the plot is always unpredictable, her twists and turns are totally mindblowing. I remember when I read With this Ring for the very first time, the cliffhanger was basically so painful, I loved that book so much and I just wanted the next, and I literally counted down the days until its release day. These books released in February, so the wait was not long at all, but it felt long. Anyway, it was totally worth it, I can highly recommend her novels to every mafia romance lover.

I have managed to read only one book written by Shey Stahl, but it was so good that because of it, I have instantly added her to my favourite new-to-me authors. Since the cover reveal of When We Met, I had been so excited for its release, and after reading it, all I have to say it was worth the wait. Reading it was such an entertaining experience, if you are in mood for something super funny and romantic, please check out this one too.
